A few Crooked Eyebrow’s favorite things…

[ 6 ] 12/20/2008 |

I have so many things that I love. All good for the body, mind and soul. Here are just the few that I’m in love with this week.

1. Lush Bath Bombs- Nothing is more relaxing than a candle lit bath at night for me (with a glass of wine). Even more so a special treat for myself (and skin) are Lush Bath bombs. Oh my word, if you have not tried one of them delicious smelling bath bombs you are missing out on the best kept secret ever. EVER. One of my favorite bombs is the Butterball which is full of moisturizing vanilla goodness. However it can’t be out done by the jasmine induced sex bomb. These little babies are about $6 a piece, but worth every little penny for this mommy to relax.

2. Music- I love all kinds of music and I still love my trusty I pod mini. From the blues to hard rock it all moves me. This week my “pump me up”  favorites on my ipod have been Kings of Leon, “My sweet lord”, Beyonce and Britney’s “womanizer”. You can’t move without music and the ipod are perfect for that.

Speaking of “soul”  I can’t forget to mention one of my favorite Blues singers/guitarist that lives in my area (and I have met) Carl Weathersby. I get goose bumps when I listen in the car on so many songs.

3. Zone bars- I love these, I have for years. For me they are great meal replacement or supplement bars. More so if I am craving Chocolate, I’d much rather grab one of these to get more protein in my diet as well. With over 11 varieties my favorite are  still the chocolate peanut butter and the chocolate caramel cluster. Yum. I try to buy a box of them when I see them on sale a target, they are great to keep in workout bags too.

4.  Lush soap- Again, another skin favorite is the Honey I washed the kids soap. It’s a smelly treat all for me. I keep it high up in the shower so no little boy hands can touch it. Mommy’s favorite soap!

From the website:

Honey I Washed The Kids handmade soap calms sore, sensitive epidermis with a rich aloe vera lather and leaves skin silky smooth and deliciously satiated. Slight hints of bergamot and orange lift your spirit and lull you into an intoxicating honey bliss.

5. My heating pad-It may sound silly, but after many back injuries from nursing, my lower back muscles ache at night. I look forward to the soothing warmth each and every night from my heating pad. One feature it always has to have is the automatic shut-off. Because after all, there is such a thing is getting too warm.

6. My Crocs- Part of my job as a Podiatry nurse is too teach diabetics not to walk around barefoot. Therefore I have to listen to my own preachings, right? Long gone are the days of walking barefoot in the house. It really does damage your feet! My solution for easy on and off shoes are crocs. I look forward to taking my work shoes off and slipping these clogs on. Sure there are imitations, but I go for the real ones. Not to mention that they have designed some new stylish ones too!

Crocs are awesome! I got some a few months ago when I was looking for new slippers to wear inside the house. They are hideously ugly but OMG are they freakin’ comfortable!

And of course, the iPod. Can’t do without that, either. ;-)

I keep my Honey, I Washed the Kids soap up high in the shower, too! It’s too good to share.;) I have a ridiculous love for Lush and can never leave the store without spending at least $50.
