Weigh-in Wednesday – Shrink Into Summer Challenge, Week 4

shrinkintosummer-1Can you believe we’re halfway through the Shrink Into Summer challenge? Yes, it’s true, we have 4 weeks left! Four whole weeks to meet your goal, and you can do it!

You know the drill! Hop on your scales, blog all about it, and come back here with your link. Did you struggle this week? Did you triumph? Tell us how you’re doing. Be real, be honest. This journey is hard on so many levels-physically, mentally, emotionally-and it’s important to keep a journal of how you feel each week so you can go back and realize what’s worked for you and what hasn’t.

Are you Shredding with the Sisterhood? If you are, how are you feeling? We’re now on Level 2, Day 8 and quickly approaching Level 3! Even if you didn’t join us from the beginning, it’s never to late to start the 30-Day Shred. It’s a life changing workout, and you’ll never be sorry you tried it. You might be sore, but not be sorry.

    I had an ok week – still struggling to exercise – weight 164 – same as last week
    Pat is at 111.5 – down 1 pound from last week

    We're finally suppose to start getting some warmer weather so hopefully that will help us get moving!

    This week's weight ~ 164.5

    Down 2.3 pounds….I blame Easter and my total need for having to relearn that I'm no longer eating for two!! This week so far has been meals of convenience (easy casseroles which unfortunately are most of the time high calorie) but starting tonight we're grilling some chicken up with grilled fresh veggies!!! I love that I'm now able to take the kids outside and putting them both in the stroller equates to me pushing about 50 lbs of babies. Hopefully we'll be down even more next week and not so stressed.

    Just getting back on the wagon and joining in again mid-challenge. My first weigh-in so nothing to report other than the status quo/starting point. Using “The No-S Diet” this time instead of WW for a variety of reasons – gonna see how it goes. Probably gonna come off slower but hopefully stay off for good this time.

    I'm down one pound. Considering I missed a couple days of shredding (I know…shame on me lol) and haven't been tracking calories, I can't complain. BUT that means I really need to kick some but to reach my goal in these last 4 weeks! Next week I'll be gone so I don't know if I'll be around a scale to weigh in or not…hopefully that helps to motivate me and not make me go crazy eating whatever I can.

    i maintained this week. Can't complain though. I'm really lacking in the motivation area. Motivation for excersize. Motivation to eat right. I just want to flop on the couch all day and eat… not good.

    But a bit of a bonus! I can now REALLY claim my 15lb loss button!!! I was holding off to see if it was really true. I've held it for 2 weeks now so i guess it's official!!!!!! Can't wait for that 20lb loss button!!!

    My weight hasn't changed for 3 weeks! I guess I can be glad I haven't gained, but with all my hard work it's kind of disappointing to get on the scale and not have it go down. I am trying to get more cardio in along with the Shred, thinking that maybe usaing the weights has been the cause for no loss. I am only using 1.5lb weights though!! UGH! I don't know, but I'm not giving up. NO WAY!! Maybe next week I can record a loss.

    Things are not going well. I only shredded twice this week and I just got the video last week. So two days is not much.

    I haven't stopped the mindless eatting and Monday I had gone on the scale to see three more pounds. Not even gonna go on today. I am going to pass up today. I am going to start over and weigh in on Next week.

    I'm trying not to get bummed out about this but I am not losing at all. I'm eating right, staying strict to my WW program, and drinking 2 liters of water a day.

    Ever since I started shredding, the pounds will not come off. I know muscle weighs more than fat, but can I please just lose a pound or two? I'm at a higher weight now than when I started shredding. I'm pretty sure the shred is building muscle, but without it I could be down 5 pounds or so. :-(

    I know the scale is just a number, but I'm spending all this money and effort at WW to *lose* pounds, not gain them. And the WW scale doesn't care about muscle.

    This was not a good week in one way. What I didn't post here: http://www.mommymotivation.me/exercise/its-wedn… is that I also quit taking the diet pills that I had started on a month ago. It is embarrassing to admit, but I had caved and bought into the “this pill will make you skinny while you sleep” bit. Unfortunately it was messing with my mental health, so I gave up on the energy that it was giving me, and instead decided to do it the hard way – exercise. I'm feeling really good about that decision. :)

    Bummer. I'm not sure I can relate , my gains are not related to muscle, I'm quite sure of it! ha. But if you're doing what you know to be right, then keep at it! Don't get discouraged! You do what you're supposed to do, treat your body well, and let the body look after itself.

    Perhaps a doctor or nutritonist could help if this lasts for a long time…

    but congrats on sticking to your eating and exercising plan – that's amazing!!

    I've been doing great with the exercise (Shred, no/Gym, yes) but I haven't really put 100% toward my eating. My hubby pointed out that all I'm doing is cancelling the other out. I hate it when he's right! I really need to get with it!

    I didn't blog today. Mainly because it's my hubby's bday and I blogged with a nice note about how great he is! but, also because I totally forgot to get on the scale this morning! I honestly doubt I lost any weight. Last week I was 153 and I'm pretty sure I am the same. Not too good with the exercise this week. Have bailed on the shredding, but plan to start up again after my 10k race at end of May. The good news is I had a really fantastic training run this past Sat. of 3 miles. Looking forward to another good one this weekend. I will pick back up with blogging and posting my weight next week I promise!

    The same thing is happening to me. Since I started shredding I haven't gained, but haven't lost either! I do feel stronger, and my clothes feel good, but it still would be encouraging to see the numbers go down! I have started doing extra cardio on the treadmill to see if that helps! Good luck, and don't quit!!
