Kellogg's All-Bran 10 Day Promise

[ 25 ] 05/04/2009 |

Recently, Kellogg’s approached the Sisterhood and asked us to take the All Bran 10 Day Promise challenge! Since we’re always looking for ways to improve our diets, we happily agreed to load up on fiber and report back to y’all on how it makes us feel!

For the next 10 days, Lisa, Melissa, Donya and I will be upping our fiber intake in hopes of making our bodies just a little bit happier and healthier!

Here are some facts that Kellogg’s shared with us:

You’ll Feel Better, We Promise
The All-Bran® 10-Day Promise is simple. All you have to do is enjoy one serving of Kellogg’s® All-Bran® products once a day for 10 days. And you’ll be on the road to enjoying the benefits of good digestive health. No meal plans, no counting or cutting calories, just a simple and delicious way to add fiber to your diet to help you feel good, we promise.

How much is enough?
The National Institutes of Health recommends adults eat between 25 and 30 grams of fiber per day, yet most Americans only eat 10 to 15 grams of fiber per day. Adding fiber to your diet is easy with the many great-tasting options from All-Bran®.

Serving size is everything
When you begin the Promise, you are introducing a significant amount of fiber to your diet. Fiber speeds up digestion, aids in laxation and keeps you regular. We suggest sticking to the serving size for each All-Bran product you try. To get an idea of what that means visit the 10-Day Promise Serving Size Gallery at www.all-bran.com.

We’ve included a few more tips below to help you get started:

Fiber Tips:

1. Start slowly. Increasing your fiber intake gradually can help you avoid gas and bloating.
2. Stay Hydrated. As you increase your fiber intake, increase your water intake too. It’s recommended to drink 6-8 cups of water or liquids a day.
3. Save money on All-Bran® products. Visit www.all-bran.com for deals on All-Bran® products.

4. Start now. All-Bran is giving away free Promise Packs (starting mid-May) to get you started. Visit www.all-bran.com and receive your first three servings on us.
5. Enjoy the benefits. Eating All-Bran® products, as part of a high-fiber diet helps promote heart health and digestive, health including regularity. Fiber helps you stay fuller longer.
6. Make it fun. All-Bran® has more than 400 easy, delicious recipes that fit more fiber into your diet. Check out tasty appetizers, salads, baked goods and dinner ideas at www.all-bran.com.
7. Start easy with All-Bran® mix-in ideas. Top fresh fruit salad or ice cream with All-Bran® Bran Buds® to boost your fiber, or add a wholesome crunch to a green salad or a yummy yogurt parfait. For more mix-in ideas, visit www.all-bran.com.

I typically get any where from 20 to 30 grams of Fiber each day. I have always watched my fiber intake to keep me regular and to stay full for longer. I eat a package of Quaker High Fiber instant oatmeal every day for breakfast. It has 10 grams of fiber in it and it is quick and easy to make. I always have a box in my desk drawer at work so I can eat healthy. I also eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, and beans because I am a vegetarian.

I liked this product, until on closer examination I read in the ingredients that it contains high fructose corn syrup… I was shocked as it is promoted as a healthy product.

    Nicola.

I forgot to also mention aspartame… why Kelloggs, why!
