Shake Your Booty

fitnessfriday2

This is really April’s idea, but since it is Friday, I am going to bark the orders. ;o)

Exercise doesn’t have to be something you dread… you can actually *gasp* enjoy yourself and have fun while you are doing it!

Here’s what we want you to do:

*Go blast your stereo, iPod, laptop… you decide!

*Pick three songs.

*Here’s the kicker:  DANCE!!!! Shake it and dance like NO ONE’S WATCHING! Or, in my case, make SURE no one’s watching!  You can even throw some high-kicks in there if you like. (ahem, Erin)

*I love new song ideas for my playlists and am sure you do too, so come back here and let us know what three songs you boogied to!

*GO- Go now!

  • What a great idea! I did six songs because I'm not near a gym today and needed to get in my workout. Here's my list:

Soni De Nakhre - Laabh Janjuwa, Sneha Pant & Wajid (from the Bollywood movie "Partner")
Jump (for My Love) - The Pointer Sisters
Bhool Bhulaiyya - Neeraj Shridhar & Pritam (from the BW movie "Bhool Bhulaiyya")
    Nachna Onda Nei - Tigerstyle
Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye
Rock & Roll - Eric Hutchinson
  • You could always take a Jazzercise class! They are fun and filled with Dancing!
  • music really gets me through my runs, especially when i'm working on speed. i've looked at a few 10K races, but keep moving when they said "headphones discouraged". seriously, i run a 12 minute mile in long distances, i doubt third day will give me an unfair advantage.

i'll have to bust it this weekend while i'm cleaning. hawk nelson's "let's dance" immediately comes to mind. "I don't want to live, like someone else I'm Happy in my skin, bein' myself
    Let's dance"

My 3 fave songs right now are Jai Ho from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, Katy Perry's Hot n' Cold and Kerosene from Miranda Lambert. Can't wait to hear what everyone else is listening to!!
  • FUN!!!!! I can't wait to get my groove on with the kids. They love to dance with me :)
