21 Days Challenge & Weigh-in Wednesday

[ 28 ] 08/05/2009 |

21daysGood morning Sisters and Brothers! It’s weigh-in day here at the Sisterhood, so rub the sleep out of your eyes, dust off your scales and step on. How’s it looking? Is it a good number? Are you shrinking? We sure hope so!

Yesterday we started a brand new challenge, and this time we’re doing things a little differently. Instead of solely focusing on shrinking, we thought it might be nice to try and incorporate some new, good habits into our daily lives. Habits that will stick with us for the long haul, because you know, this isn’t just about dieting, it’s about changing your lifestyle. You can read more about 21 Days here!

So run, don’t walk, over to your blog and post about your weigh-in. Give us all the nitty-gritty details on how you’re doing. Many of us are struggling to get through summer because our routines are all out of whack with traveling, kids being home, the heat, etc. If this is you, YOU are not alone. We promise. And while you’re at it, please let us know how you did on Day 1 of the 21 Days challenge!

After you’ve blogged, come back here and link up in the comments section. Be sure to check out all the other Sisters’ and Brothers’ blogs and lend them some support. Afterall, that’s what we’re all about here at the Sisterhood. Support.

Speaking of support….if you didn’t notice, Brooke, master-supporter-via-comments-extraordinaire, was nominated for the Sisterhood Spotlight. Be sure to check out the post and leave some comment love for her! We all know she’s always full of comment love for each and every one of you.

AND, keep your eyes and ears open, because soon, really soon, like maybe this week, we’re going to have a fantastic giveaway and challenge. FANTASTIC!!!! It’s so exciting we can hardly stand it!

After pulling a muscle in my back and being completely down for a week, I knew that I was UP so my new start weight is 165. Have no fear – I will get it back off. My new habits will be:

    Exercise
    Stretching
    Vitamins

Congrats on the loss, Brooke! And your goal to stop the negative talk is excellent. I really need to watch that myself. My daughter is turning 12 this weekend and I pray that she doesn't develop my bad habits and negative thoughts. She's even said to me the other day, “Mom, you're not fat” when I said that I was. At least I look great in her eyes :) Again, congrats on your loss and your healthy mind-set.

I am at 171, so I have lost 3 of the 6 lbs I had gained! My goal for this challenge is to change my exercise routine by adding some low impact aerobics- I bought 2 new dvd's. I will continue to eat at least 5 a day and drink at least 2 liters of water a day. It seems really strange to me, but things I have read are TRUE: I lost those 3 lbs by eating MORE food.

  • http://www.youravon.com/mdickey Margie D.

Okay – I got alot of feedback about how trying to burn off an extra 500 calories a day is too much. I thought that my treadmill said that after 30 minutes I had burned off 230 calories so I figured that if I stayed on for an hour it would add up to around 500. Well, I was wrong – its 130 calories for 30 minutes. So…..I will double that. Does anyone know how many calories you burn with the Couch to 5K thing?

ok ok I am finally on board LOL
