True Confessions Monday

[ 22 ] 08/03/2009 |

It’s still Monday and there is still plenty of time to confess your past week’s transgressions, struggles, wins.

For those of you new to this concept, every Monday, we invite each of you to “confess” what has been going on with you over the past week- the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Write a post on your personal blog an leave the link in the comments section of this post, or if you like, leave your confessions within the comments itself.

C’mon, this will be fun, ha ha.

  1. I have been missing around here lately.
  2. While I have been extremely busy traveling all summer and taking care of my three wee ones while my husband works (a lot!), the real reason I haven’t been around lately is because I feel like a phony right now.
  3. For the past month, I have been HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.  Eating like crap, drinking way too much and not exercising.
  4. It is so very difficult for me to come here to motivate you guys when I am having such issues motivating myself.
  5. And there, I have finally said it.  I have admitted the real reason I have been in cognito of late.  I feel a little better but not really.
  6. My motivation is gone and I am struggling to find it again.
  7. I need to take that 15# loss button off my personal blog because I have gained a few pounds over the last weeks.
  8. That sucks ass in a major way but I am not surprised.
  9. I know what I have been eating and drinking.
  10. I did exercise this morning, for the first time in over a month.
  11. I only walked on the treadmill for 35 minutes and OMG- I am sore!
  12. But I think my real soreness comes from having to lift the baby in and out of his car seat multiple times a day.
  13. He’s my 21lb of hunkin’ love.
  14. I hope to find my mo’ with the start of our new challenge.
  15. I hope to get “back in the game” soon, real soon.

About lisa: I'm a runner, duathlete and future triathlete. I love to cook, drink margaritas, socialize with friends, and I laugh with my entire body. I'm the mother of three kids (ages 8, 6 and 3.5), I turn 40 years old in 2012, and I'm trying to find a peaceful acceptance with my body. I am slowly coming into my own, finding a true passion with empowering and motivating women to conquer their fear of the unknown when taking up running for the first time. View author profile.

I'm not getting a post done tonight, maybe tomorrow morning??!! but my confession for the day/week is since my birthday last Monday I have been eating chocolate GALORE!! and junk that I know I don't need or want to be. I haven't had a piece of fruit in FOREVER and I'm feeling FAT, although a friend noticed today that I am still losing weight because my butt looks smaller in the pants I was wearing….My stomach looks HUGE to me. It is still huge, but I know it is smaller than it was in March. but I feel BLAH cuz I know I am not eating right….HELP me eat what I know I should, please!!

Thank God for friends to encourage us when we are feeling down!

i'm w/you needing to get back in there! I haven't had any ambition this summer.. even knowing I wear a new swimsuit that's too snug every other weekend isn't working for me.. not sure what will. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!

if you take down your 15# button, you need to put up a 10#er. you aren't going to let yourself lose all your progress.

my confession – yesterday afternoon i couldn't get my “to do” list off my mind. running is suppose to relieve stress right? instead i just kept thinking about how as long I was on the treadmill i wasn't getting important things done. so instead of running 6 miles as i was suppose to, i quit after 1 mile. 12 minutes of running.

    I AM A QUITTER. :(

my confession: just got back from vacation. enough said. I did get to the Y and ran 2 miles, walked 1/2 and ran 1/2. I am SORE today.

Alright, today is a new day!
You can do it, get back on the treadmill, even start shredding again.
Remember how you felt when you conquered that? You felt good about yourself. So get to it girl!

I can't wait to come back after the baby! I miss you all.

Thanks Nancy! Today is a new day and I'm going to try my best to squeeze in a workout of some sort!

Salty snacks triumph chocolate for me. I can turn down sweets no problem but put a bag of Doritos in front of me and it's history. I'm with you on the fruit and veggie front. The last few weeks, it's been non-existent and I am vowing to change that today!

  • SkinnyLisa

OMG- me too! Except my bathing suit rides up over my stomach (it's a tankini) and I am constantly yanking it down to cover my flab. Maybe that's a sign to get back on the exercise bandwagon…..

  • SkinnyLisa

YOU ARE NOT A QUITTER! Eliminate those thoughts right now Brooke.

  • SkinnyLisa

Welcome back! How was your vacation? I am impressed that you already back in the saddle for exercising.

Me too! I can't wait to meet Baby Crooked Eyebrow : ).
