Weigh-In Wednesday!

[ 34 ] 08/26/2009 |

Good morning Sisters and Brothers!  It’s Weigh-In Wednesday!  Lots to talk about this week, so settle in!

21days

First, today is the end of our 21 Day Challenge.  We challenged you to challenge yourselves to create healthy new habits for 21 days.  How did you do?  Did you create healthy new habits?  Will they stick?  Did you fall off the healthy habit wagon?  Tells us about it!  We want to know!

Next, we have TWO challenges that will start soon!  Like REALLY SOON!

LFG Logo

First challenge:  We are so very excited to be teaming up with Weight Watchers and their Lose for Good campaign for our next weight loss challenge!  Not only will will be challenging ourselves to shrink way, but we will also be helping out with TWO charities!  If you haven’t checked it out yet, why not?  You really should.  It’s simple.  Just click here!

Here’s a note for the weight loss challenge!  We will be having a weigh-in on Sunday, August 30th to kick off the LFG campaign!  So you will weigh-in today, then SUNDAY, then it’s back to regular weigh-ins on Wednesday!  Clear as mud?

Second challenge:  We have a new fitness challenge starting Monday, August 31st!  The Sisterhood will be doing the EA Sports Active 30 Day Challenge, so have you ordered your copy yet?  You know you want to join in the fun!  If you’re still unsure about the game, why don’t you click over here and read our review?  Love it!

Okay, who’s tired?  Well we’re not through yet!  We still have to WEIGH-IN!  Yep, that’s right!  Go get on those scales.  If you had a bad week, I give you permission to go all Office Space on your scales, but then you have to go buy another set.  Love ‘em or hate ‘em, they’re important.  After you weigh, blog about it, then head on back here and leave us a comment with a link to you post!!  Then head on out and give your other Sisters and Brothers some comment love!

So, I guess that’s it!  I need coffee.

Have a great Wednesday!!

About april: I'm a brand new cyclist! In just a few short months, the sport has reminded me that it's all about the journey, and I need to enjoy the ride. I live with my two dogs and two birds, and love to spoil my nephew. Oh yeah, and I'm 32. View author profile.

I'm not going to blog about my gain because it's so small. I'm up 0.2lbs. Pretty much for all of August I've maintained. I hope Sept to be a better month. :) See everyone on the next challenge!

  • Lisa_ShrinkingJeans

Holding steady at 177.5. I hope with starting Weight Watchers this week and exercising, maybe I will have some kind of loss next week.

okay so i had an okay week, expected a better loss, but question the accuracy. i mean i weighed 128.2 then i blew my nose and took off my blazer and was 127.8. (no seriously, i'm not making that up.) So while offically that would be a 0.4 pound loss (I was at 128.2 last week also) I don't quite think it counts.

oh, yeah, and there is that whole “not paying as much attention to the scale thing”

I am down 6.7 last week with a total weight loss for the challenge of 2.6lbs :) I'll take it. I also accomplished most of my goals for the healthy habits as well :) THANK YOU SISTERHOOD

Down 2.2 this week and 4.4 for the 21 day challange! WHAT! FINALLY!

  • Christy_TheSisterhood

My starting weight for the challenge was 146 and I was at 145.6 this morning. I will admit that I was up quite a bit at one point over the last 3 weeks, so I'm very happy with my 0.4 loss!!

As far as my habits go, I was able to firmly establish my 5 in 5 (fruits and veggies) and my 100+ ounces of water a day. The exercise, not so much, but with the 30 Day EA Sport Challenge coming up, I'm sure it will all fall into place for me!

  • mitakay

Addicted to my DS. It's an awesome goal!

my challenge was to work out 5 days a week, and I am happy to say this HAS happened – I am at 81.3 miles on my stationary bike since August 1st!

This week I lost 3.0 pounds, for a total of 7.4 pounds lost during the challenege!

    Here's my weigh in post:

My challenge was to take a vitamin daily and do push-ups and sit-ups every day. I did pretty remembering my vitamin, but not so great with the other 2.

This week I lost 1.4 to get to 160.6. I really wanted to be in the next “decade”, but as least I got close. Maybe next week.

    Here's my post: http://diaryofashrinkingchick.blogspot.com/2009

I love 1.4 this week. Did well on the 21 day challenge — not perfect but I'm very happy with my success. :)

  • http://thesassymama.blogspot.com Heather

After the whole truck break in incident, I'd be up five pounds. For realz. You're a rock star, hooker!

  • http://dalewis.blogspot.com/ Audrey

Yikes! I'm up 2.9 this week. Blogged here: http://dalewis.blogspot.com/2009/08/weigh-in-we

I've been MIA for a little bit and will probably continue to do so for the next few weeks until we get moved and I start unpacking. I'm still following via Google Reader – just behind on actually reading anything. ;o)

I am maintaining (still 165) but that is not what I want to do…..I WANT TO LOSE!! The only “habit” I seem to be creating is 'not exercising'….lol. Hopefully this WW challenge will produce results….yes, I know – its up to ME not WW.
    I don't have a Wii so I will do Cto5K.
    Let's get this done, Sisters.

  • BrookeF

i love the c25k program – mostly because that's how i started running and now i'm an addict. i don't have a wii either, but have found a half marathon training program. you and i (and any other running sistas out there) can just make completing all of our training for the week our own challenge. :)

  • http://www.youravon.com/mdickey Margie D.

Brooke – I have always hated running so this will be a hard one for me, but I know that cardio is what burns the fat off so here I go. I hope to become addicted to it too….that would solve my weight problems!! Lets do this.

email me if you want to chat. its stingysingleton at gmail dot com.

when i work hard enough i get a runners high which is super cool. but also
there is just something about setting running goals and achieving them that
makes me feel great about myself.

i'd highly recommend finding a 5K race in your area two to three months
away, that way the commitment to the program is there.
