Weigh-In Wednesday – SFG Week 1!

Hello brothers and sisters! Is it really weigh-in day already? Seems like we just did this a few days ago! WAIT! We did! It has only been 3 days since our Shrink For Good launch! I know we probably won’t see any big losses in that short amount of time, but I expect a lot from you next week! Lots of new and exciting things happening around here lately, no?

If you haven’t joined our Shrink For Good challenge yet, it’s not too late! Just leave a comment below saying you want in and leave your starting weight (or if you don’t want to post it – email me – melissa@shrinkingjeans.net), we want to keep track of the total pounds lost by Shrinking Jeans participants!

So, go – GO! Step on that scale. Blog about it, then come back here and link up in the comments! Then for the BEST PART, go out and buy non-perishable food items totaling the amount of weight you lost! Need some ideas for healthy non-perishable foods? Look here.

    I'm way late, but I've had a sick child all week. Down 2lbs!
  • I 'm pretty sure I was at 173.2 (it was just last night I posted!! how can I not remember??).

    This morning I was at 172.2 so exactly 1 lb. is gone, and, yes, I'm going to add it... FOREVER!!

    I've made it to two spinning classes and 1 body pump class this week (and my thighs can attest to that- burn, baby, burn!), and I really am trying to eat better. Lots of grilled chicken and broccoli this week. Unfortunately, there's also been some amusement park food and fudge. : ( A little nervous for this weekend with all the picnics (and beer), but I'm going to try to stay strong!

    Here's my blog post for WI. I lost .6 lbs for the week, not 3 days. I guess I will start the Shrink 4 Good this week, so start my weight at 138.8!
    Now I need to add the button to my blog too. :) And yes I know I'm a little late. Haha.
  • I have no weight gain/loss since Sunday, but I did not officially start (joined weight watchers) today!

  • I have good news and bad news too.

    Good news: Lost .5 pounds since last Wed.
    Bad news: Gained 1.3 pounds since Sunday

    But I was sick Wednesday through Sunday and hardly ate anything so that quick weight loss was bound to come back once I started eating again. Oh well, it was fun to see those numbers for a day and I will be back there again soon. :)
  • ok!I have finally blogged about today's weigh-in which was done first thing this morning! I stayed exactly the same!! I also had a visit from TOM today so the same is awesome!

  • My WW meeting is on Sunday, so I just had my weigh in a few days ago. I was up 0.2 at my meeting this week, but my home scale has crept back down a bit since then. I'll wait and post "official" weigh in results from my meeting this coming Sunday in next week's SFG thread..
  • No change for me!!! And I did not blog about because we just blogged about the challenge on Sunday!!! However, I was able to get some good workouts in that short time!!! Sunday- I did my pilates workout, Monday- 30 minutes on elliptical-I held 5lbs weights for 16 of those minutes, and Tuesday was the same workout as Monday. I did not get to work out today because I ended up having to take my son to the doctors. Hopefully, I will be able to meet you expectations after a holiday weekend!!! this weekend will be the first time since getting pregnant that we are actually going somewhere on a holiday weekend... so don't be to hard on me when I get back!!! Have a great Labor Day weekend!!!
  • Alright, I gained about two pounds this week. I'm thinking that's a combo of water retention and muscle gain. I'm ok with it.. I'll move on. :)

  • I weighed in this morning and had a 1.6 pound loss! That brings me down to 289.0.

    I just logged my starting weight on the SFG post, but It was my monday weight. I stupidly weigh myself just about everyday and obsess about it :(. I'm down 1.8 today. doesn't seem accurate thought, I'll check tomorrow and probably be up 2 :). haven't had time to blog about anything this week and need to!

  • Greetings, Sisters and Brothers! Starting weigh-in caught me on a wicked up-swing. (Pizza and hot-wings and beer on Saturday, oh my!) I started at 188.8 on Sunday and am back to 183.2 today (-5.6 for the challenge...but I was 182.8 about a week ago, so I'm actually up a little on the week-to-week). Now the real challenge: stopping the teeter-totter I've been on for the past 6 months and being able to add another can next week.

  • I have lost NOTHING since Sunday, which was UP from last week, but it is also "THE WEEK" when I always gain weight. So next week? I am going to have a massive stack of food to photograph. ;p

  • Stayed the same since Monday - 167. Don't have a Wii so I started the c25k program on Monday. Whew - lots of sweating going on there....lol...but I did it. Today I do it again.

  • Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I did my second session yesterday and it felt really good. Thanks to Santana I was able to do the whole thing...;)
  • Way to go! Running does get easier over time, and C25K (and similar training strategies) are a nice way to train. Do you have an event picked out? That can really help.

    :) since we don't have wii's we're challenge ourselves with running training programs. its easier to keep up with it when you have a buddy, and even if we can't run together we can certainly encourage one another!

  • I forgot to update my weight on the SFG post (217.2 lbs) when I weighed in yesterday, but I'm in.

    Good news: I'm down 2.2 lbs from yesterday.
    Bad news: I'm up 1.6 lbs from last week.

  • I must be carrying some insane water weight. I was 157.4 on Monday, and this morning I weighed 155.8. I'm going to pretend I weighed in at the same, because there is no way I actually lost that weight. I ate way too much pizza last night for that to be a possibility!

    I am down 4.6 pounds. Yes, I have been eating:) I can lose the weight fairly easy when I decide to. And when I exercise and watch what I eat, well, it works for me. Eating a lot of apples too, hopefully that is helping.

    i had to modify the SFG idea a little since i'm only 2 pounds from my goal weight, but I think I've come up with a good plan.
