How Fit Are You?

We all know that we’ve been doing the Wii, or Shredding, or finishing triathlons, or 5ks, or whatever you’ve been doing fitness wise.

So, with all this fitnessing and challenging and exercising, I want you to answer this question:

How fit are you?

Being fit is such an abstract term.  How do you measure it?  Push ups? Running? Walking? The way your clothes fit? The fact that you finish challenges that we put out there?

The President’s Challenge, which began as a national youth fitness test, has an online Adult Fitness Test.  The site has all the information on how to complete the 4 part test: Aerobic, Muscular Strength & Endurance, Flexibility, and Body Composition.

After you complete the test, you put in your results and it tells you how you compare to others that have taken it.  It then gives you a small game plan on how you can improve.

This site doesn’t necessarily tell you where you should be.  It just tells you where you are now and how you can improve.  It doesn’t say “a 33 year old woman weighing 156 pounds should be able to do 45 pushups”.  It just tells you how other 33 year old women weighing 156 pounds did on their tests than gives you tips on how to improve your score if you want to.
