a year ago today I was probably 10 pounds heavier than today and not doing much to change it. I had a breast reduction surgery right before Easter of 2009. They took 6 pounds off, yes you heard me! I was always bigger in the chest area even when in middle school/hs when I was at a good weight. But then each time I got pregnant and nursed my boys I got bigger and never lost it. So went to a surgeon to see what would happen and about a month later I was having a medically necessary surgery. It was very hard recovery, etc but so worth it. I would do it again even though it was painful. So once I was at a good size in my chest, I now had a belly (I always had it but it was overshadowed by my boobs=)) I really wanted to lose the weight and be healthier but it wasn't until a friend told me about your website that I actually started to do something consistently. So although I have only been a member for a little over a month, you have made a big difference already. Thank you ladies.

A year ago today I was getting used to a new job, in a new town, in a new city. My husband was getting used to being home with the kids – and homeschooling them, and we were both loving that I get the entire week of Thanksgiving off of work in this new place. Physically, we were working out together when possible, but now I've found it is much easier to work out while everyone else is asleep!

I was really lazy :) I was also oblivious to a major life upset that would be coming my way in about a week…good thing that is over and done with!

A year ago today, I didn't get it. I didn't get why I was 60 lbs overweight since I was eating “pretty healthy.” I didn't get why I lacked energy and needed naps every day. I didn't get that I could lose this weight. A year later, I DO get it. I'm 34 lbs lighter. I understand what eating healthy really is. I have a lot more energy and naps are now a treat and not a necessity. I get that I CAN lose this weight. Thanks for the giveaway!

One year ago I was 30 lbs heavier-mourning the sudden loss of my mother-and not active at all.

This year I vowed to live healthier for her-and I think for the most part I am doing that.

one year ago today i was 35.8 pounds heavier. i was feeling good about my weightloss (at that point I was down 32.4 pounds) but i knew i still had a long way to go. i still hadn't REALLY incorporated exercise into my life, only healthier eating. now, here i am a year later, happy with the way my bod looks and feels (68.2 pounds lost since my healthiness journey began), i ran my first 5K a couple of months ago, and i've been eating meat-free for 10 months! oh how my life has changed! (gap's straight fit jeans happen to be my FAV jeans right now!!!) thanks, sisterhood!

A year ago, I was about 30 pounds heavier and feeling ever so much down-trodden about it. I felt stuck and didn't think that I would ever find the strength to lose what I had put on…and, by the grace of God…I did! :)

I wish that I could say that I was so much further to reaching my goal this year than I was last, but it was a rough spring/summer so sadly I am right where I started physically/weight wise. I am also much more beaten up emotionally…. BUT at least this year I have my 'sistas' with me along the road….

1 year ago today, I must admit, I was pretty much where I am now. But, I HAVE maintained a loss of 60 pounds that I lost a couple of years ago now. I have been struggling with the same 10 pounds for a year now. I haven't bought myself much in the way of clothing since I lost my 60 pounds, because I keep wanting to be 1 size smaller. The reality is, I am starting to look pretty shabby. I would LOVE to win some gap jeans!

A year ago today, I was begging my hubby not to make me get in the car and drive 7 hours in miserable agony to put on a show and hide my physical pain, just so we could celebrate Thanksgiving with family. I am glad I went, because it was our last with his grandma, I just wish I hadn't been so miserable, and had been able to enjoy our last time together more.

A year ago today, I was three weeks into the gym routine. I had joined when I couldn't fit into any of my clothes and I felt horrible. I was starting to feel a little better and lost maybe 2lbs. I joined the Sisterhood because I wanted to be accountable for my weight loss journey and for the support, of course!

One year ago I was basically in the same place physically, but emotionally and mentally I have continued to work through my “issues” and am in a great place to be releasing weight and getting healthy because I am TRULY worth it, rather than because I should. I would love some new jeans!
