Thanks for sharing all the great safety tips! I'm not entering the drawing since I was lucky enough to win the More Workouts earlier this week, but I still wanted to comment.

If I'm going to be walking/running outside, I try my best to do it before dark. If it's after dark, I tend to go to the gym and use the treadmill instead. I feel like my neighborhood is pretty safe, but I figure since I live in the greater Los Angeles area, I'm not going to take any unnecessary chances.

I've been meaning to buy a RoadID for a while now. For me, it's not only the identification aspect, but also for indicating that I'm penicillin-allergic. Having that medical information available as well is equally important for me in the event of an emergency. Thanks for the reminder! Off to order one now.

My husband always says be aware of your surroundings…pay attention to what and who are around you. I always have my cell phone on me at all times just in case.

yep. who knows the situation. maybe they “just” picked their kid up at school when they didn't have custody or something.

but it was my big wakeup call that just because something has the appearance of being safe, doesn't mean that it is.
