Shrink-a-Versary Weigh-In, Week Two

[ 72 ] 11/11/2009 |

You guys thought we forgot about weigh-in today, huh?

Of course we didn’t forget.  We just wanted to prolong it as long as possible.

So yeah, go ahead and do that favorite Wednesday morning (or afternoon or evening) thing that you like to do called WEIGH-IN.  The only time this is my favorite Wednesday thing to do is when the scale heads south.  IJS.

Don’t forget, we started our new Globetrotting Challenge, where everyone logs their miles for the week.  It started on Monday so let us know- how many miles have you logged since Monday.

Recap:

  • Go weigh yourself right now.  I know, isn’t this fun?
  • Go write a post about your weigh-in as well as the miles you have logged since Monday.
  • Share the link to your post in the comments section here (or for those who don’t want to write a post, leave your info in the comments).
  • Go leave some bloggy love for all of your fellow sisters (and bro’s).
  • Check out today’s giveaway- we’re giving away another copy of the NEW EA Sports Active More Workouts game.  We will be starting their 6 week challenge on Nov 20th.  I know- TWO fitness challenges going on at the exact same time during the busiest time of the year- wheeeeeeeeee!!!!!! We are not crazy.

Love to you all, Happy Shrinking, and get those feet moving!

A P.S. from Melissa:  I started a Globetrotters group over on Daily Mile. It is a cool place where you can keep track of your miles you run/walk/jump, etc!

I don't have a weigh-in post for today, but I did write about getting ready for my 5 Miler on Thanksgiving Day.

    http://lisa.shrinkingjeans.net/2009/11/10/pound

I am up 0.5 lbs to 171.5. I really need to kick nighttime snacking to the curb.

mine is a repost of old weigh ins showing how far i've come mentally! and i definitely don't want to get on the scale after a week of eating what i want and not doing anything more than walking.

my miles: a measley 3 (walking).

i'm gonna make up for it when i get home, i promise.

So I stepped on the scale this morning and it said I weighed 61 pounds! Seriously, I want to loose weight but that's a bit too much. Yesterday the scale said 205.8 which is down 1.2 from last Wednesday. My pants are fitting slightly better so I'll stick with teh 205.8 and see what's up with the scale. Hopefully just a new battery is needed. Monday and Tuesday I put 5.8 miles on the treadmill.

  • misty1975

I am down 4.6 this week for a total of 6 pounds! woo hoo I logged in 4 miles since monday as well.

I maintained this week but I am not discouraged. I have been to Curves to work out every morning at 6am. I still need to get a pedometer that works, so I'm not logging my steps yet. I hope everyone had a great week.

I'm up!! Late to the challenge so my starting weight is 147 and hopefully I'll have a change to report next week. I am excited about the Globetrotters challenge and have logged about 4 miles so far. Read everything I had to say at http://www.melsboxofchocolates.com/2009/11/back

  • KateeB

Down 2 pounds since last week, 4 since starting this challenge, and 12 since 10/1 when I was at my highest non-pregnancy weight!

  • kay6672

a new starting weight for me — 170. Two pounds higher than when I first started with the Sisterhood some months ago, but two pounds lighter than the scale read during my unofficial weigh-in sometime last week.

Also, I've logged 7 miles so far this week. Go me!

Yay for me!! I lost 3.9 pounds!!

  • elainea

Things DID NOT go well for me this week. I guess the Halloween candy caught up to me. The scale said 175 this a.m. In case you are wondering, that's 1.4 lbs. UP from my starting weight. So, I guess no more candy for me (or ice cream!) Plus I HAVE to start exercising soon. And I will, promise! This gain made me really feel accountable. Hopefully next week I'll be back with a loss!!

  • http://cellowingnut.wordpress.com/ Natalie

Down #1.2 this week! Only walked 7.5 miles though.

-1.4 wahoo. I love it when you hit the next lowest multiple of 10 on the scale. Like when the scale reads 889.8 instead of 890.0 It makes a big difference for some reason.

Down 7lbs this week! Happy because that means I lost all of the 6.8 lbs I gained + some extra for a new low.

Miles logged since Monday 4.99. I'm just walking for now until I'm 100% over my cold.

ok, weighed in, but late to join, so no previous weight to compare it to. I'll do that next week. I have logged 12.24 running miles and 1 walking mile since Monday (this means I'm really sore right now)

Hi all! This week I did lose weight, but not because I ate healthy or did the exercise program I've been wanting to start, but because we had a death in the family. My 17 niece was in a car accident this past weekend and didn't make it. For the sake of my comittment to post and stay faithful to this challenge, here is my weight loss record:

Start weight last week 155 lb
    this week 151.5
    weight loss 3.5 lbs.

    Hi Melissa,
Having never blogged before, I haven't figured out where I paste the URL that you and Christy sent me yesterday, so, here I am weighing in here, and wondering if I am even doing this right?? Ugh! Worse than I thought for my first weigh-in: 195lbs. The absolute heaviest I've ever been! Boy do I need you guys! Okay, off to the gym! :)

  • http://thesassymama.blogspot.com Heather

    Thanks Heather!

  • Bari_F

No time to blog today, but I'm the same at 159. Wish it were lower. I worked out a lot this week (lots of walking, kickboxing, core class). I've also been drinking tons of water, but still feel like I'm dry as the fracking desert. What's up with that????

    My miles since Monday: 3.1

  • http://oppositelife.blogspot.com/ Pubsgal

    -.2? I'll take it! 19.65 miles (16.5 spin class + 5K race).

  • Nan

Oh Thanks Heather! How absolutely wonderful of you!
    I biked 5mi/ 20 minutes/Level 4, then ran 1mi/10 minutes.
Thought I'd stay at 30 minutes daily for the first week while I tried for better times and longer distance. Any suggestions?

  • http://thesassymama.blogspot.com Heather

Are you training for anything in particular? How far are you running now?

    Good job, Priscilla! That's awesome!

  • http://www.whooosthatgirl.com Lissa_ShrinkingJeans

I notice when I work out more, I have a HARDER time losing. I have no clue what's up with that. Maybe the sore muscles sucking up all that water??

    Good job on the mileage!

  • Nancy

Hi Nan! I'm so glad you joined us. You won't be sorry you did. The sisters are a fantastic group of people who are here for support, encouragement and caring. You may want to think about starting a blog. It's a great way to journal your fitness journey.

I mentioned it in a general post on my blog today (dalewis.blogspot.com) but didn't specifically post about the weigh-in so that's why I didn't link it up here.
