Lost my beloved baby/dog who was 14 yrs old (I got him when he was 8 wks old) on the 14th. I took my 7 yr old dog to the vet to get her shots on the 21st. She ended up having a hematoma on her ear that had to be fixed with surgery- in the middle of the surgery, they called me & told me that her uterus started leaking puss & if they didn't remove it immediately, she could DIE! I told them to do what they had to & they removed it, etc. $1300 later, I have a sweet baby girl with this cone collar & a bum ear. Oh, and in the middle of all of that, I received a call telling me that my other baby's ashes were ready. This week MUST be better :)

in my race this weekend i:

*ran behind a 70+ year old woman in a back brace for many miles
*was last for many miles

*kicked that hill's rear! (well i ran the whole way up, close enough)
*ran the entire 13 miles
*sprinted the last 0.1

*pigged out at Chili's following the race
