True Confessions

November 30th, 2009 | Comments | Posted in Featured, Melissa, True Confessions | by Lissa

Today is the day where we let loose and get it all off our chests. Did you have two slices of pie instead of just one? Did you eat the WHOLE cheesecake? Did your exercise consist of walking to the refrigerator for leftovers? Whatever it is, let’s air the dirty laundry and start fresh!

True Confessions of Melissa

1. I had two Thanksgiving dinners, one at my Aunt’s house and one at my Dad’s place. They were both delicious.

2. My Dad made fried turkey nuggets. Mmmm… ‘Nuff said.

3. Exercise was not a priority!

4. Leftovers.

5. I did skip dessert, but probably made up for it with the above-mentioned!

Now, it’s your turn. How was your week? Surely, you want to confess SOMETHING! Blog about it, come back, leave the permalink to your post, then go see what everyone else is confessing! Happy Monday!

My confession -- This past week was VERY frustrating and stressful. I only "formally" exercised on Monday last week. Moving sucks....it sucks even more when you have the flu...I'm so glad to be past it all. I still have LOTS to unpack and find a place for. Including my little guys bedroom and the video games systems (including the Wii) needs to be hooked up today! Can't wait to start exercising.

I ate really well over the holidays. I did! I mean, I had a few indulgences but never to the point of pure pain (except for the fact that my body isn't used to so much processed foods and I had stomach cramps after eating even a LITTLE bit of the stuff)...or to where I needed to where my "fat" pants.

Then today. Monday. I was very very very stressed out. Ate well early in the day. Then in the evening? Ate a snickers....went out with classmates to Applebees and indulged in two margaritas and an appetizer platter. HOLY CRAP.

Thank GAWD that my Weight Watchers week starts on Wednesdays. I haven't tracked WW in the last week at all. Sigh...

I think next week, I'll start actually posting True Confessions on Mondays. Or maybe this week. Hmm.... :)

    The last week was...well...um...yah...
I ate WAY.TO.MUCH and what I ate had WAY.TO.MUCH sugar or salt. Take your pick. With the events of the last week and having people from out of town and being out of town all day yesterday exercise was completely off my list. Bad me. On Saturday evening I ran to Wally's world, grabbed some new socks, black pair of exercise pants and a tshirt from the men's department that has Mighty Mouse across the front along with his famous line. I figure that will be my mantra for the next while. I also wanted the popeye one that was only his body with my head being the head but I disliked the color and we all know that we must like what we exercise in.
Last but not least, since last night when I finally had a chance to visit, I have been totally stoked about yesterday's give away. I've been walking around with my fingers, toes and eyes crossed. Since I don't have a Wii, dvd's are right up my alley and it looks awesome. At any rate, my husband may find our bank account slightly smaller. :-)

    Here goes...

    1. We had 10 different casseroles as side dishes on Thanksgiving. In those casseroles we used 2.5 lbs. of butter- yes, that is 10 sticks of REAL butter!!

    2. My Granny is not in very good health and so this year I made most of Thanksgiving dinner. I have never understood what my Granny has said all these years "You're not hungry if you have to cook the meal". Now I get it!

    3. I went to boot camp 3 times last week.

    4. I did not gain or loose any weight last week so i'm chalking that up to a win!

    5. Chocolate chip cookies are evil :(

    6. I have totally neglected my blog.
