Pot, Kettle on Line 1

[ 19 ] 12/22/2009 |

Ya’ll come here for motivation, inspiration, support, and encouragement.

I hope we give you all of that.

What I also want each and everyone of you to know is that we, ALL of us sisters and brother, face temptation. Each and every day.

Apparently, last night (that would be Monday night), temptation won over most of us, in the form of PIZZA.   Yes, 2/3 of your lovely SJ writers succumbed to the temptation of PIZZA.  None of that diet, “healthy” pizza either.   Full on fat, lots of cheese, pepperoni.   I won’t call out anyone Christy, Melissa, Christie, Donya, April wants some and Thea is thinking of ordering some for dinner Tues night, Heather went the enchilada route specifically except for myself.  I indulged in THREE slices and enjoyed every. single. bite.

As I am sure each of my sisters did, too.

The point of this is that we, too, face temptation and FAIL.  Even though we didn’t plan it at all, the majority of us failed at the exact same time that’s some weird voodoo sh!t, isn’t it?

It’s the holidays.  Temptation is everywhere and sometimes it is so hard to say NO.  I KNOW.

I am human.  My fellow sisters (and brother) are human. Sometimes we give in to temptation and say YES to that slice of pizza or second slice or third slice.  I cannot change the one/two/three slices I ate.  All I can do is brush off my pants and make better choices tomorrow.  I fell off the wagon today, but it’s not leaving me behind.  I will get right back on that wagon and keep chugging along.

So can you.

For the record, my pizza had sausage, pepperoni, canadian bacon, black olives, green peppers, and lots and lots of cheese. I ate three slices, but they were personal pizza small slices. SO YUMMY.

The thing is I don't regret it. I think it's good to have things like that every so often!

That sounds so good! I hope enjoyed every bite.

I've been falling off the wagon a little myself lately with all the holiday parties, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I can only do the best I can and there is a brand spankin New Year right around the corner with a new challenge to master. Merry Christmas Lisa!!! Enjoy it to the fullest.

Oh, the irony. I'm falling victim to this tonight. But it's a planned thing, and I've allotted for it. Won't be pretty on the scale tomorrow, though!

For your information, mine was homemade by Justin with green peppers, green olives, and portabella mushrooms. And a little pepperoni, yes. Lots of cheese. It was SO GOOD. ;p

This is PRECISELY why I LOVE this group!! We are all human and we all have days where we want to throw in the towel and eat whatever and worry about the calories LATER! I did do my Wii More Active last night and I'm determined to have a better day today!!

for your information, mine was a big fat sicilian with an unGodly amount of cheese and I had two pieces. On Monday and Tuesday. If it helps, I'm eating an entire bag of steamed green beans as we speak. :)~ Because it's a new day.
