Rethink Your Shrink:: Week 5 Weigh-in

Good morning Sisters and Brothers! How are you this fine Wednesday morning? Can you believe we’re on Week 5 of Rethinking our Shrink? Wow. Time really does fly when you’re having fun!!

So tell me, did you get your homework done last week? Did you read some of the letters our future selves wrote to us? WOW. That was really a powerful exercise, and if you haven’t done it, I highly recommend you do it now. It’s never too late to get your homework in here at the Sisterhood.

Okay, go hop on your scales. Did you lose? Gain? Stay the same? Blog about your week, and be sure to link up to us. I mean, you don’t want to keep the awesomeness of the Sisterhood all to yourself do you? There’s plenty of us to go around!

Whether you had an awesome week, a so-so week, or a downright crappy week, remember that it’s a marathon not a sprint. While we’re all in this together, you are also a unique individual and you cannot and should not compare yourself to someone else. Stick it out and keep up the hard work and you will see results!!! You cannot fail on this journey.

Okay, and now for a few announcements:

  1. We’re celebrating Women’s Heart Health week with an amazing giveaway: a Timex Heart Rate Monitor
  2. We kicked off our 1/2 Marathon Training with Team in Training this week! If you have a few dollars to spare, feel free to donate to our team fundraising page!
  3. The Monday Project Link up is Friday! As always, Christie has given us some excellent homework this week! Hop to it!
  4. Last but not least, our Tuesday night Last Chance Tworkouts are really becoming all the rage. If you aren’t joining us, you’re really missing out. Lots of fun, and a little working out thrown in, too!

    OK, Monday I was up to 11.2 pounds lost. Tuesday I had GAINED 4 pounds! The only thing I had done differently was I started the 30 day Shred on Monday and by the time I weighed on Tues. had done it twice. SO frustrating, but it is ALWAYS what happens to me when I start working out, but still FOUR POUNDS?!?!?!?! ARGH!

    So, yesterday I was sick and did nothing at all. The only thing I was able to keep down was ramen – so I figured with the sodium I would be up even more or stay steady. But this morning I weighed in and was back down. So, I am at 10.9 pounds down right now. Cautiously excited, but expecting that I may go up a bit now that I am not puking my guts up! Either way, I know I am getting HEALTHY and that is what counts.

    (Blogger is bein wonkity so I may or may not get this on my blog today!)

    Being sick can definitely mess with your numbers. Don't sweat it and take care of yourself! I hope you feel better!

    I am late too (not for the blogging, just for the posting here!) I am holding steady…I know it is because my workouts slacked off due to horrid knee pain from constantly slipping on icy surfaces whenever I left my house.
    I broke down and bought new boots so my knees can mend. I am going to get back to working out this week and hopefully I will break into the 150s.

    I've been sick most of the week, and today is the first time I've been on here! I weighed in on Tuesday night at my meeting. Up .6 :( But oh well. It was a horrible week, and less than impressive weigh in, and then a day at home in bed. I was felt so bad, I couldn't exercise most of the past week, and I couldn't even knit (it's how I know I'm sick). But that was last week, this is a new week, time to forget the past and work with today.

    I hope your new boots help on icy surfaces and your knee starts feeling better. I think holding steady is just fine especially if you weren't able to workout much. Next week will be better.
