Last Chance Tworkout! – The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC

Can you believe it’s Tuesday already?

And that weigh in is tomorrow morning (gulp)? If you’re like me and had a few (or several) food indiscretions this week, I’ve got just the thing for you…

A LAST CHANCE TWORKOUT!

What’s a Tworkout, you ask? Well, it’s a workout directed over Twitter. Here are the deets:

  • Follow us on Twitter @shrinkingjeans
  • Join us while we watch the Biggest Loser. Or Lost. Or whatever you tend to watch at 8 pm Central time on Tuesday nights.  ‘
  • Our resident drill sergeant Tworkout guru  April will Tweet a #tworkout between 8 pm and 9 pm.
  • Tworkout starts at 8 p.m. Central time (I think I’ve written that like five times now. Whoops).
  • Make sure you have lots of water to drink!

If you aren’t able to join us at 8 pm Central time, or if you aren’t on Twitter, you can print tonight’s Tworkout, and complete it on your own!

Tworkout for March 30, 2010

1) Fake Jump rope for three minutes

2) Bicycle Crunches – 50 total (25 on each side) – or more if you’re feeling ambitious!

3) Squats, 50 of ‘em. Don’t forget to squeeze that tush on the way up!

4) Push ups, as many as you can, pick your own style (wall, girl, on toes).

5) Side lunges (lunge out instead of forward), alternate sides, 3 minutes

6) Side plank (here’s an example). Balance on your forearm, or go for it – extend your arm and balance on your hand. Keep your body as tensed up and tight as possible. Try for 45 seconds on each side.

7) Mountain Climbers (here’s an example). Begin in a push up position on the hands and toes. Bring the right knee in towards the chest, resting the foot on the floor. Jump up and switch feet in the air, bringing the left foot in and the right foot back. Continue alternating the feet as fast as you safely can for 30-60 seconds. You’re welcome.

8 ) Stretch. Speaking as a person who is currently injured from not stretching, I beg of you, for the love of God, please take a few moments to stretch!

Have a great #tworkout, and we’ll see you tomorrow bright and early for weigh in!
