Weigh-in Wednesday and a New Challenge Starts!

View Comments 04/28/2010 | lisa

It’s Weigh-In Wednesday!  I bet you guys are as excited as I am to step on a scale this week NOT!.  Go ahead and do it already and get that out of the way.  We all want to cheer on your success or if need be, kick you in the boo-tay to get going in the right direction.  I’m the one who needs a swift kick in the derriere.  IJS.

OK, now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about the New Challenge.  we are resurrecting a previous challenge that we did that gave so many of our sisters success.

The 21 Day Challenge.

What?!  What’s the 21 Day Challenge you ask?

Have you heard the old saying ‘it takes 21 days to form a new habit’? For some of us, *ahem* it takes longer than 21 days.  We’re going to see if we can successfully form new habits over the next three weeks, and we’re going to do it together, because together, we can do ANYTHING!

So stop and think about it for a moment. What new habit would you like to form I would like to stop night-time snacking? Here are some great habits that come to our minds:

  1. Water intake = minimum of 64 ounces a day
  2. Fruits and vegetables = 5 servings a day
  3. Dairy = 3 low-fat servings a day
  4. Eat breakfast
  5. Take a multi-vitamin
  6. Exercise = 30 minutes a day
  7. No nachos or chocolate cupcakes
  8. Sleep = more than you are now
  9. Go Whole = eat only whole grains
  10. Stretch your body, try it for 5 minutes every morning
  11. Pick up the clutter around my house every evening (gag)
  12. Shower every day : )
  13. Track calories or WW points every single day

Feel free to come up with your own habits, of course.

So for the next 3 weeks, we’ll be asking each of you to choose 1-3 new habits that you would like to form.  You will still weigh-in on Wednesdays but you will also report how you are doing with your new habits, or forming your new habits.

By incorporating one or more new habits into your daily life, it should affect your weight, and we want to know how much. We’re nosy like that. And yes, we are encouraging you to try and form as many new habits as you can. It’s good for you and your body!

Be sure to grab a button, and put it on your blog. While you’re there, write a post and declare what new habits you’d like to form over the next 21 days. Be sure to link back to the Sisterhood.   As always, come back here and leave the link to your post in the comments section.   Don’t forget to weigh-in, too!

I'm in…although I'm a little late! I was up AGAIN this week but it was to be expected because of the steriods I had to take with my sinus infection. Up 3 poulds to 192.2, but I plan to get it off FAST!!
My 21 Day Challenge goals — 1) post SOMETHING POSITIVE EVERY SINGLE DAY…. probably on facebook (if you wanna be my friend just let me know and I'll be your friend), but I will try to post on my blog and the 'hood too!
    2) Get outside everyday for a little bit! 3) Drink enough water!

Jumping in a little late, but I just revamped my weight loss routine this week, and this would be a great motivator.
