True Confessions Tuesday

[ 13 ] 05/11/2010 |

First confession: It’s past midnight and I just remembered to write this.

Second confession: I just ate a peanut butter and jam sandwich.

Third Confession: I missed my long weekend run and I’m having total anxiety over missing it – not only because it puts me behind in training, but also. running is what keeps me sane.

Fourth Confession: I went to the gym today for the first time is FOR. EVER. It felt really good, until I told my trainer that I’d eaten fried pickles and he scolded me. Yes, scolded. Then he punished me with kettleball torture.

Fifth Confession: This week has been a complete and total blur. We are in family crisis mode, so I’m not going to even scratch the surface of what I ate this week . DOUGHNUT. WHIPPED CREAM STRAIGHT OUT OF THE CAN.

Sixth and Final Confession: My eyes are swollen and I’m so. damn. tired. I am going to bed, and when I get up tomorrow, I expect to see lots of comments with all of YOUR confessions.

Also? I need to hear something funny. Tell me a funny (even better? embarrassing and funny) story in the comments, k? Thanks.

I like your fourth confession. Well, not the pickles part because I think they are delish on their own.

My confession……I love reading this every Tuesday!

need a laugh? go check out the picture of me in a ski suit circa 1980 (the suit, not me – I was in my mama's belly May 11, 1980)

my confession – I'm a couple of weeks into my non-tracking eating plan and i find myself feeling guilty for eating without considering calorie content. then i find myself feeling like i'm rapidly getting fat. my clothes tell me otherwise, but i argue with myself about it. this is hard.

Oh Heather, I am so sorry for all the family stuff. Why don't you pack up your family and come visit me?

As for funny, remember last week when my 4 yr old son left a pile of poop IN FRONT of the toilet for me, instead of IN the toilet and he told me that “it just shot out of his butt”? Yeah, that was fun.

My Niece put on my shoes two weeks ago and started walking around the house. I asked her what she is doing and she said “I’m wearing Papa’s shoes” with a huge grin. I guess I wear old man shoes.

Oh, last week my cousins were arranging pictures of us oldest to youngest and they put me in front of my cousin that is 9 years older then me. Yep, I wanted to cry. They thought I was A LOT older then I am.

Hopefully those will help you feel better.

That IS funny. I'm sure they don't look like old man shoes!

I hope crisis mode ends soon for you and than you have the strength to stay away from whipped cream in a can (or at least have the sense to squirt the Lite variety).

Here are my confessions. I'm sorry, they aren't pretty.

Yes, it is INCREDIBLY hard, Brooke! I thought tracking every morsel I put in my mouth, and every calorie I burned, was hard. Then I tried NOT doing it — torture!!!
