True Confessions

Good morning to everyone! It’s time to get that stuff off your chest in another edition of True Confessions Tuesday! So go ahead, vent away!

I have had a particularly yucky week food-wise, so I’ll just cut to the chase.

  • Pizza
  • Chick-Fil-A
  • Pizza
  • Burger King (because we were sick of McDonalds. I know.)
  • The husband went out of town for the week and left a FULL chocolate chip ice cream in the freezer. Jerk.
  • And he also left a giant Raspberry Elegance cake left over from Mother’s Day. I blame him because he would have eaten it all if he were here, not me.
  • I didn’t do much in the way of exercise unless you count gardening and removing wallpaper, which I do. I should have worn my heart rate monitor because I’m pretty sure I got some good cardio going.
  • I had a bit of a rough mental week last week. Total burn out from all I had been doing. I’m trying to get it together.
  • My body is so sick of yucky food.

I still have the goal of one day not having to confess anything. Unfortunately, today is not that day. Instead, I’m going to accept the week for what it was and start again. I’m off to a great start this week with fish, brown rice and broccoli last night for dinner and the kids actually asking for seconds! Weeee! I think they like this better that all that crap too.

Hope you had a better week than me! Have a wonderful day! Cheers to a great, new week ahead and a do-over!

very berry pie – and lots of it.
    Also, outback.
AND – that led to eating meat again. But, I made it 21 days, so I'm okay with it.

I got it all out. All of it, and it was hard to admit that I've completely lost my way.

I got some of it out on my blog; I'm trying to find my willpower again after being sick for two weeks. I ate garbage food because I was too exhausted to cook. I fed my family garbage food because I was too exhausted to cook. I'm burnt out on my job, my workouts, my daily routine and meal planning. I'm just plain tired. This week will be better. It has to be better.

Good for you making it 21 days! Awesome job!

It is so hard to eat right when you are feeling sick and 2 weeks of sickness I can' t even imagine, don't be so hard on yourself. When you are feeling better you will get back to your routine and meal planning, etc. Just feel better first and get some sleep and then worry about the food. Hope you feel better soon.

Christie- We all have our bad moments, thanks for being honest and sharing with us. I am sure it was hard to do. You are back on track this week and you know what the good choices are, so keep making them. San Diego is just around the corner so I am sure you have to continue to get ready for that so I am sure you will increase your exercise too. You are awesome, you have done so much this year already, you are human, you will stay on track. You can do it.

You will find your way again because you are just that awesome. I think everyone needs to check out for a bit. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
