Food Journaling Check-In #3

Ok, we are in knee-deep with the food journaling, mini-challenge #4 here at The Sisterhood. 

How did it go for you today?  Did you keep track of everything you ate and drank or did you veer off course for whatever reason?  Are you making better food choices?  I know it can be difficult to write it all down I’m mainly speaking/yelling at myself right now, but it is imperative to JUST DO IT.

    Fail:
    2 mile run: earned 307
    Breakfast: 1 c mini-wheats, 1/2 c skim milk, 1/2 c OJ = 295
    Lunch: 2 McD's grilled honey-mustard snackwraps, large Diet Coke = 520
    Dinner (this is bad-you might want to avert your eyes): at movies ate 3/4 small popcorn without butter and 6 pull and peel twizzlers, shared Diet Pepsi (gag) with K = 900 (holy Mary mother of God)

    Total for the day: 1715 in, burned 307 = 205 over goal of 1203 (calculated by DailyPlate)

    So, it's a good thing I'm not hungry tonight and wanting to eat real food after the dietary disaster that was the movies. This just goes to show that popcorn without butter and a fat-free candy still have a shit load of calories. Lesson brutily learned, thankyouverymuch.

    You will notice that there is NO WATER listed. I'm remedying that now. Stupid, Bari, really stupid.

    Hang in there, Bari!! Being 205 over isn't nearly as bad as it could have been with movie theater popcorn involved.

    i ate some crap and STILL came under my calories for the day. hurrah!!!

    Breakfast
    shredded wheat w/almond milk

    snack
    mini luna bar

    lunch
    boca burger
    100 calorie bag of popcorn

    snack
    cucumbers

    can of coke
    (given to me by the infusion nurses to take my pills)

    dinner
    pizza

    i'm shooting for 1500 calories daily and yesterday came in around 1475.

    i think you did great! i mean sure you went over, but like mel said for a movie theater involved that's pretty darn good. although i'm not sure how popcorn and twizzlers filled you up for the evening.

    Did good, actually cam in under my calories because it was a run day. Should I be eating those extra 200 calories?

    Here goes (may not be in order eaten):
    Morningstar blackbean burger/whole wheat sandwich thin
    canteloupe

    chips/salsa (mexican restaraunt–with great restraint, i tried to limit myself)
    1 grilled chicken quesadilla

    mini-bag light popcorn
    4 mini-shortbread cookies
    5 smartie candy rolls

    Managed to stay within points and got a 4 mile run in. Going to eat Mexican was difficult…espcially trying not to go through 4 baskets of chips!! But I did well. :)

    I didn't eat breakfast….I woke at 7 am to watch Wimbledon and fell back asleep until 10. So I just waited to eat lunch. Ahhhh…summertime!

    No I haven't kept up with my food journalling. I think I've been doing pretty good with my eating though.
