About april: I'm a brand new cyclist! In just a few short months, the sport has reminded me that it's all about the journey, and I need to enjoy the ride. I live with my two dogs and two birds, and love to spoil my nephew. Oh yeah, and I'm 32. View author profile.

I LOVE Survivor-so I’m sure your version will be exceptionally awesome! As for check-in today, I think I might go all renegade and not post. The first 2 weeks of school suck because it’s stressful and we eat out a bunch. I’m working on drinking lots of water, but until we get through the next week or so with volleball tryouts and all the other start of school crap, I’m just going to focus on my 1/2 training and getting in my water and my mileage. I will be ready to rock and roll on the 15th though!

I’m with you today, girl! No weigh-in for me until I hit the scales on September 15th. We’ll call it a breather :)

I had a GREAT week. My food intake is still mostly good. I did indulge in some jelly beans and other candy. Sweets are my weakness and I really have got to stay away from them. I ran the Macon Labor Day 5K and improved my time by nearly 1 minute! I was struggling too and just wasn’t into it so the time surprised me. I’ve got to write it up soon.
My weight is WAY up this week. Like 4 lbs up. I have no idea but I did notice that my ankles had disappeared yesterday. I guess it’s back to the water fountain for me.

I am falling in line with the trend and choosing to take a “pass” this week… Just returned from my birthday weekend in Vegas and basically all hubby and I did was eat, drink, lay by the pool, eat and drink some more… I am pretty afraid to check the scale at the moment! So excited about the new challenge. I have been in a rut and am taking this week to get back to meal planning, food tracking and all the things I know work well for me (I do feel like a broken record as I type this…). It is time. Two months until my next big race and time to drop some of my “drag” so I can run faster!
