Fitness Coffee = Love

Coffee is good. Coffee that’s good for you is even better. Gather ’round and let me tell you a little story.

A couple of weeks ago we received samples of Fitness Coffee. I brewed up a fresh pot, poured myself a cup and emailed Melissa to see what she thought. We typically get a lot of things done while we’re drinking coffee and emailing. It’s like our morning status meeting!

My initial impression was it tasted different. Not bad different, just different different, with maybe a hint of cinnamon. As I sipped my cup and waited for Melissa to reply, I read the ingredients. Bitter and Sweet Orange, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamum…..yes, there’s a distinct herbal flavor to Fitness Coffee. My best, non-expert, description is it’s a bit like drinking coffee with a splash of green tea. Different, but pleasant.

So later in the day when Melissa and I were working on the details of a big project, we were on fire. Literally blazing with amazing ideas and thoughts. We didn’t really think much of it, because we are pretty awesome like that sometimes.

The next day, we both felt the same way. All.day.long. Productive. Energetic. Focused. Hmmmmm.

By the time the third day rolled around, we were emailing each other and wondering if it was the coffee. I mean, could Fitness Coffee be responsible for our bursts of physical AND mental energy?

We believe it is.

Seriously.

I’ve been out of Fitness Coffee for 3 days, and you know what? I totally have not felt productive, sharp, or on fire. At least not like I was on the days I drank Fitness Coffee.

Just so you know, if you don’t like herbal tea, you might not like Fitness Coffee. It is coffee, but there is a strong note of cinnamon. Does that make me sound like an expert? Because I’m not. But I am a coffee drinker. I love coffee. And I honestly love Fitness Coffee. They’re not even paying me to say that. Honest.

OK, so. I’m trying this for the first time today since I was out of town when we got them. So, what you’re saying is, I should write or draw amazing stuff today, eh? About what time does the inspiration hit so I can be ready? ;)

    Seriously, it’s pretty good!

My most memorable cup of coffee is the one I held as I waited for my fiance to walk through the gates at the airport. We met online, so it was our first face-to-face meeting! I don’t know how I didn’t manage to spill the contents or even crush the cup. I was so darn nervous… LOL

Seriously, the first cup of brewed coffee after being camping or backpacking for a week is the most awesome cup. Athough, drinking a cup off crappy while enjoying the view of nature is pretty awesome too.

I’m getting to try it tomorrow. They sent me some to have a coffee party with and everyone gets to fill out surveys about what they think of it. Now I’m really excited to try, because God know I need some pep in my day – both physical and mental

My most memorable cup of coffee was at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans. Life doesn’t get much better than a Cafe au Lait and beignet after a long night of partying in the French Quarter. I’m just sayin’…

I had grabbed a cup of coffee to drink while watching TV in the dorm’s tv lounge. The ST:TNG episode where the borg first appeared was on and I got into a long conversation about it with one of the other students watching it. We’ve been married 16 years now. (geeky story, I know)

My best cup of coffee? Probably one I had in Heathrow airport when I was bringing my college age daughter back from a semester at Worcester University. I’m going to tweet about this @kmp50 – I want to try that coffee. I begged them for a sample, too, but they won’t give me one!

  • Joann Walton

I love coffee on the porch one the first day of a vacation. I like to get up early and just sip on a hot cup of coffee reflecting on the events of the day.

My most memorable cup of coffee was the first time I tried a sugar free hazelnut latte – I’ve never tasted any cup of coffee so good. Maybe this coffee will be another memorable moment.

Was at a hotel in Bologna. Had an espresso which was more a deep dark brown than black. It was rich and thick, not like Turkish coffee. The flavor kept coming through.
Unfortunately, the hotel management would not tell me the brand or where they bought it. I would really enjoy it again if I could find it.

  • Oniris

I agree with you Christy: I like the concept of this healthy Fitness Coffee, overall because it can be brewed with the same method of my daily cups of Java.

Well it may not be the most memorable cup of coffee, because I don’t quite remember, I do see the picture of it all the time though.
My dad started me out early with coffee. I was about 3 at my grandmothers house drinking a cup of coffee, sitting in a little wooden rocking chair with my feet up on the coffee table. This is one of my parents favorite pictures of me so I hear about it often!

Well, I am not very adventurous in my coffee choices. Really I just drink black, except once or twice I’ve had an iced mocha at Panera (yum!). But anyway, the best coffee I’ve had has to be from a little coffee shop in my hometown. I don’t know if it is that great tasting but just the whole atmosphere of the shop makes it great!

My most memorable cup of coffee is definitely with my grandma. She would make us cafe au lait every weekend morning. I treasure that time with her. I thought I was so “grown up” as a 9 year old. I had no idea then that my coffee was like almost all milk. :)

  • http://www.amybayliss.com Amy Bayliss

And you are liked on Facebook. I would love to try the coffee. :)

I guess my most memorable cup of coffee was after I had my third child and I could drink coffee again. I think this fitness coffee sounds good. Hope I win.

  • Laura N

Memorable cup of coffee? hmmm… a tad dramatic… but i dunno… I guess I would say the quad-shot-americano I drank every morning on one of my job sites just to wake me up and get me started would be the most ‘memorable’ for me… it was SO strong, how could I forget it?

Just found your site. Can’t wait to read more.

My most memorable cuppa would have to be my early morning coffee…. while waiting to meet our son in China. We adopted a 6 yr.old boy 20 months ago…My husband and I were so nervous as we sat there and waited for our son to walk through the doors. It was CRAZY!!! Still can’t believe we were in China.

This coffee sounds awesome. I’m a coffee addict. Seriously. I so hope I get to try it :-) I have a coffee going all day.
