True Confessions Tuesday, People!

[ 18 ] 09/14/2010 |

It’s time to air it all out.

Cleanse yourself and free yourself just in time for the next challenge which begins tomorrow (woohoo!!) It’s True Confessions Tuesday and it’s time to come clean!

I like to do my confessions in bullet points. You can feel free to use the style of your choice.

  • I have done way too much takeout and restaurant eating and fast food.
  • If I’m going to lose weight, it will not be through takeout, restaurant eating and fast food. (Just so you know.)
  • I have done 90% of my training plan. Yes, that means 10% of it has not been followed according to plan. Partially life, partially me.  The good news is, I HAVE DONE 90% OF MY TRAINING PLAN!
  • Right?
  • I have done way too much takeout and restaurant eating and fast food.
  • Have I mentioned that?
  • Oh and then there’s the wine.

I got some hardcore goals I want to meet and they aint gonna be met if I continue on the current path. My goals? Stop the madness and add in some strength training and core. Quit the alcohol intake.

What do you got to confess? Air it in the comments below or post about it and link up. It alllll stays right here. We won’t tell a soul.

    K, here it goes.

    1. I choose to think that the calories from a vanilla iced coffee from McDonald’s don’t count towards my daily calorie goal.. I mean, I KNOW they do. I just choose not to allow them to.

    2. Shhh.. I’ll eat 4 cookies and only log the “3 cookie suggested serving size” into my calorie counter.

    3. I have to realize that I have no willpower what-so-ever and need all the help I can get.

    4. I got complacent after meeting my husband because he said he likes “big girls”, now I’m 100lbs overweight and it scares me. (Although people never believe me when I tell them my weight).

and 5. I’d love to be able to blame my weight on outside influence, like the Depo-Provera I took for years and is now linked to weight gain, diabetes and ovarian cysts. But I know that most (90%. ok 95%) of my weight problem is my own fault. But it’s still easier to blame something else.

    Confession complete.

    Jennifer

Thanks for confessing! I have to say, I am not sure if people understand quite how what they say sticks with them. My coach (Coach Joe) said to me “I wouldn’t worry about calories, I have you burning enough!” Which obviously did not mean EAT ANYTHING YOU WANT IN ANY AMOUNT WHATSOEVER AND THEN EAT MORE! which is what I act like it meant. which it doesn’t. but I hear his voice in my head saying it’s ok when I am just about to make a food choice. So I think I’m going close my ears when I hear that voice because I’m doing all this working out and having no weightloss whatsoever. I am certainly glad that your husband loves you for YOU though!!! That is important too!!!

I am right there with you in having the husband who likes ‘big girls’… and no one believes me either when I tell them my real weight..

We can do this together :)

I have blogged on both my personal http://thekrumwiedesix.blogspot.com/2010/09/true-confessions-tuesday.html and on my weight loss blog http://onecrazymamaof4onadiet.blogspot.com/2010/09/true-confessions-tuesday.html today for this… granted it is the same post, but even I realized that I needed to say it more than once so that I could believe it… lol

I’m totally laughing (in a nice way) at your #2. I’m so there with you. I justify by thinking “eh, close enough”.

    Here it is:
    1. I have not logged my calories since Thursday.

    2. On that day we went out for dinner where I had a large adult beverage, nachos (shared with the fam), and hamburger, fries, onion straws.

    3. I’ve been using shin pain as an excuse to not work out. It hurts to run but surely I am able to ride the bike, do yoga, strength train. I just haven’t.

    4. I’m not sure when I last ate a vegetable that was not a potato.

That’s it for now though I’m sure there is more that I’ve repressed :)

    Throwing it out there:

    I over eat from BOREDOM
I am a comfort eater so I eat when upset, and happy, and mad….and you get the idea
I’ve let myself sit on my butt a lot through this year getting through the divorce. It’s final, excuse gone.
I want to drop 15 pounds by Christmas.

Me too. I didn’t go through a divorce, but check, check and check for the rest of it. Let’s do this.
