Editors’ Weekly Round-up

We are entering the season where it’s easy to get caught up in the craziness of our lives. The hustle and bustle of preparing for visitors and travels and trying to shrink while huge meal surrounds us – it can all get so out of hand that you might forget the blessings that abound you.

If you have some extra blessing to share this year, we at the Sisterhood encourage you to pay it forward in one way or another. Whether you donate to a charity near and dear to you, drop a sack of groceries off at the nearest food bank, or help out a friend who might be struggling. Do something okay?

Here are a few Sisterhood related places you can help out this year if you’re so inclined:

  • Melissa’s son Bridger is raising money through Charity: Water to build a well in a poor village without water. He has decided to forgo Christmas presents this year in order to make this happen! Wow! Please check out his page and be sure to watch the video. Charity: Water is doing AMAZING things, and the message is so powerful.
  • Kirsten is one of our favorite Sisters and she’s working hard to help raise some money for a cause so important to her. Please go here and consider buying a Bondi Band to help support her neice McKenna, who is battling cancer.
  • And lastly, one of our sweetest Sisters is this close to graduating from law school. She finds herself up to her eyes in fees for graduation and bar exam courses, and of course the bar exam. Please go and read about Beki’s Christmas wish. I’m pretty sure she’d give you the shirt off her back in return. She’s that awesome.

    I went shopping with Kirsten for Christmas :)

    and last night the mutant and I attended a fund raiser for a camp/school for kids that are in bad family situations through no fault of their own. i was proud to give them a monetary donation and want to look into maybe contributing some time as well.
