True Confessions Tuesday

[ 3 ] 11/16/2010 |

This is the day of the week when we come clean about everything… the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. How fitting that I have the rotation this week. *cough*

Where do I begin?

Maybe I should start with the stupidfrickingcandy. Yes. I KNOW. Candy is my weakness. I love candy. Sugar is delicious. I have a problem. I made if for 5 or 6 weeks with NO CANDY during Shrinkvivor and then sh*t hit the fan. My plan of action? My HoHoHoes teammate, Karena, and I are going to start following the South Beach diet tomorrow. It will be so hard good for me. Taken from their website:

Phase 1, the shortest Phase, lasts for just two weeks and is designed to eliminate cravings for sugar and refined starches – and to jump-start your weight loss. The purpose of Phase 1 is to stabilize blood sugar (which minimizes cravings), making it ideal for people who are prediabetic or diabetic, as well as for those who need to lose a lot of weight.

I love, love kickboxing. It was so tough on Friday that I almost threw up. <—– That means it’s a good workout, right? The bad thing is that it’s only offered one morning a week, the rest of the days it is in the late afternoon, and I am usually busy running my children around to their activities by then. I am going to talk to the management and see if they will consider adding another morning class in.

My family and I spent the long weekend at the rig, visiting my husband while he is working for weeks on end. We stopped and had lunch with my Dad. Pizza. It was good. And then we had pizza for supper the next day. And I had Hint of Lime tortilla chips. Yum. You get the picture, right?

Tomorrow, I will be severely limiting what I consume and introducing structure back into my life and this may or may not be causing my brain to justify that it’s okay to eat all the bread/sugar/sweets in the house. Yeah, I’m a mess.

So…. (uncomfortable silence).

How was your week? Confess and link up below!

I swear I could have written this post! Normally I’m not a chocolate person, but it’s been whispering sweet nothings in my ears for days now. Torture. And, as you’ll, read, pizza was my downfall this weekend as well. . I’m ready to start anew!

First of all, let me express my insane jealously over the ultra cool team name, Ho Ho Hoes! That’s so rich!
Secondly, I feel your angst. The time between challenges is, I think, especially CHALLENGING. But it’s obvious you’ve got some great plans in place to get back in the groove. I’ll be interested to watch you get past your cravings in a couple of weeks. That would almost inspire me to try South Beach.
Anyway, great post. Until I wrote mine today, I forgot how hard some things are to confess but without this tool that makes us face them head on and deal with them, the results could be disastrous.
