Sister Spotlight:: Shera!

[ 1 ] 12/19/2010 |

Last week’s deserving spotlight was Renee , so this week the choice was all hers. Take it away, Renee!

I am so honored to have been chosen for the Sisterhood Spotlight! The Sisterhood has been
so supportive of me during my journey to healthy living. I love ya’ll! Now it is time for me to
pass on the recognition. I want to highlight a sister that I just met during the Holiday Hoe Down
Challenge, she is a member of my team Holiday Shrink. This week’s Sisterhood Spotlight
shines on Shera!

Shera is a graduate student who is a vegetarian that is trying to stay in shape. She has a hectic
schedule but still finds time to fit in Zumba classes. And if she can’t make it to class she also
has Zumba for the Wii to keep herself on track. She also does Cardio Sculpt and has been a
great cheerleader for our team.

Because of her busy schedule she doesn’t post that frequently on her blog but she is a member
of The Hood and I’m sure she’d appreciate any support that you can give her on her page.
One might think that being a vegetarian is an immediate path to healthy living and manageable
weight but I’m here to tell you that I haven’t eaten meat in 20 years and I was obese this time
last year! So, I know that Shera’s struggles are real! Let’s support Shera as she juggles staying
fit with being a student. She certainly deserves to be in the spotlight!

Congrats, Shera! I’m so glad to see you in the spotlight this week! Now it’s your turn to pass the spotlight! Email us at support@shrinkingjeans.net with the sister (or brother) you want to recognize by Friday! Have a great week everyone!

    Whoa! Thank you so much Renee!! I’m sorry I haven’t been as peppy as usual, but I have the next month and a half off, and I plan to be more active on the site!
