Sister Spotlight:: Roo!

[ 5 ] 01/16/2011 |

Last week’s spotlight was Tirah, a phenomenal woman who is a huge support here at the Sisterhood! This week was her choice of who to spotlight, and I’m happy to say she chose yet another terrific lady, one who I am lucky enough to call a good friend! Take it away, Tirah:

I was completely shocked that Jamee picked me last week for Sister Spotlight. I absolutely adore Jamee and want to thank her for this privilege.

I didn’t have to think too long about who I was going to pick for this weeks Sister Spotlight. I knew it had to be Roo at Color Me Crazy. I can’t even remember how or when I “met” Roo but it has been a privilege ever since. She is an amazing, strong woman that is always going. She was recently training for the Disney ½ Marathon and even though injuries made her sideline that race, she still went and supported the other Sisters running. She even kept all of us updated too. This isn’t the first time an injury has gotten in Roo’s way. She had a similar problem last year while training for the San Diego ½ Marathon with the Sisterhood. I have to say I think I may have given up on myself, but she doesn’t. She tried again and I’m sure this last pot hole in her race plans isn’t going to stop her. She doesn’t give up and she is an amazing woman, mother and sister for it. That is why I think Roo absolutely deserves to be recognized in Sister Spotlight. I’m so glad I was able to get to know her.

Now, it’s your turn, Roo! Email us at support@shrinkingjeans.net with your choice for the next spotlight by Friday! Thanks!
