I should just title this one True Confessions: The Road Trip Edition.

I tried my best. I really, really did. But sometimes, when someone else is cooking, you just don’t have a lot of control.

Or, you do have control, you just choose not to use it, LOL!

It was either feast or famine as far as my eating goes. I either made excellent choices, or I went a little off the deep end. But, you know what?  I enjoyed every single bite. Every bite was conscious, not a single bite was because of stress or emotional eating.

That? I’m very proud of.

Anyway, here were the worst of my transgressions…

  • Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie – I’m sorry.  I will never, EVER turn down a piece of Peanut Butter Pie. Ever. And it was damn good.
  • Mexican food – We went to a Mexican restaurant when we were in Ohio visiting my family. It’s something my sister and I try to do whenever we are together (twice a year). It’s really the only time I ever go.
  • Dehydration – To avoid stopping every hour to use the bathroom, I try to limit how much I drink in the car. Well, we were in the car. A lot. On some days I was lucky if I got 20 oz. of water. Ugh.
  • Bacon Cheeseburger and fries – So worth it. Until later that night. Then it wasn’t. Double ugh.
  • Peanut Butter Pie, the encore – Please see above.
  • Christmas Candy – As of yesterday at 9pm, I put it in a bag for Dave to take to work. GET IT OUT!

So, how about you? Did you survive the transition into the New Year? Well, better than I did, at least? LOL!
