About april: I'm a brand new cyclist! In just a few short months, the sport has reminded me that it's all about the journey, and I need to enjoy the ride. I live with my two dogs and two birds, and love to spoil my nephew. Oh yeah, and I'm 32. View author profile.

I do not know if I am still in the running for this thing or not because I forgot to weigh-in last week, BUT I am still going to do this for me! I am so happy to be back on the track of losing again!

  • http://diaryoffatwoman.blogspot.com/ Joanna

I feel great this week… another 1.6lbs GONE!! OH YEAH!!!

I really have to thank you guys. The challenge has really help motivate me – not just the weekly weigh-ins, but the projects. Now, if I can just get one of those scales…LOL

    • http://diaryoffatwoman.blogspot.com/ Joanna

I forgot to mention how I found this site. I found it in a link on a fellow member’s blog (FitBee). I’m so glad I saw it. :)

I don’t wanna. Actually, I’ve already done it, but I don’t wanna talk about it. Will it suffice to say that one month of progressive comfort eating (my MIL was here for a month – no one will call me on that, I’m hoping) followed by one week of celebratory *I have my life back again!* eating doesn’t make for a good weigh in? Thankfully, Lissa and I are teaming up and keeping each other on track! Today is the start of a new week!

You definitely deserve that celebration week and I know that you will be back to losing right away!! Just get’er done!!

You had your MIL in your house… for a month?!? Oh dear, that can derail anyone! Glad you’re back though, good luck!

I definitely am feeling like a member of the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans this week. Love this new challenge. My current jeans are getting too lose and I fit in the next size down! I feel like 2011 is going to be my year! I found the Sister hood from some of the links over on the FitBloggin conference site. I went last year and am going again this year.

  • Cysiphist

Feeling good this week. Saw a 5 where there used to be a 6.

I’m not entirely sure where I found the sisterhood. Likely on twitter. Perhaps someone linked to a getaway? Perhaps something related to priorfatgirl. Not sure.

  • Jessi M

I found the Sisterhood a couple of years ago via Christie O. You girls (and guy) do such a good job…with everything!

  • http://fatosity.com Heather

Yay! Down 3.5 lbs this week–my best loss in 9 weeks. Very nice to get some scale validation.

I don’t remember the path that led me to this site but I think it was searching for weight loss blogs on Google.

  • http://smartstrongsexy.blogspot.com Brooke F

i really don’t remember how i found the sisterhood. i wasn’t on twitter then, so it must have been through a blog i read. if you knew me before the sisterhood do tell!

  • T Brown

Honestly I know I could have done better, but I didn’t, no workout last week trying to recover from this sinus infection…and I’m already starting this week off bad, I really need to get back in the gym…time to refocus!!!

  • Niki P.

Another loss this week! Five pounds to goal weight!

I think I found SJ by searching for some online weight loss challenges. I was about 15 lbs. heavier then and ran onto the site just as the summer challenge was wrapping up. Got in at Shrinkvivor and have been hooked ever since!

I am not sure how I found the sisterhood. I think I saw it on another blog. That is how I find most things.

I have a bad week. Depression and sporatic eating got the best of me.

A whole .2 down, woopie. Weigh in should have been yesterday–it would have been 1.2! Oh well, here’s hoping next week I’ll see a good drop.

How did I find you? I think it was when I was still in MOM’S Club and several members were posting about you :)

  • http://shepdogg.blogspot.com/ Tirah

Whoohoo, the weight is going down! I found the sisterhood from a button on a friend’s blog. With a name like that, I just had to check out what it was about. It was more than a year later before I actually came back. I wanted some motivation to lose a few pounds and knew where to look. I’m sure I’ll continue to visit the sisterhood for a long time seeing as how much I love pie (and therefore am always 4 pounds away from my ideal weight).

So i’m 3 weeks late, but i got here and weighed-in today so that’s what matters, right?!? Thanks to Colleen’s persistence (@tryn2bfit on twitter) I got over myself and come here for the weigh-in / check in! I also found out about the Sisterhood from Colleen and she got be started by being on her team for the Holiday Hoedown Challenge!

A friend of mine on Twitter mentioned @ShrinkingJeans, and I got curious enough to check it out. Then, figuring I’d never tried an online weight-loss community before, I signed up. And it’s been fun.

Woohoo! I lost this week! Yay for me!

I found The Sisterhood through good old-fashioned searching. I’ve been wanting to find sites/blogs that have to do with other people trying to lose weight. I recently just started my own blog and I’ve found mostly blogs from people who have had lap-band. If anybody knows of any other good sites/blogs, please let me know. The Sisterhood has definitely been a great find!

I discovered the Sisterhood at The Journey Leads Home. And, I had *just* discovered that, so it was meant to be. :)

  • Tracey S

I can’t remember how I found the Shrinkingjeans site, but now that I have – I’m here to stay!

  • Alicia M.

Ugghhh!! Up .8!! I swear…it’s my scale! It sucks so bad. It’ll read something different every time I get on the damn thing! Anyway, no worries. I’ll get it down next week :) As for how I found this wonderful group…the lovely Heather Damron :) She’s awesome!! She is ultimately what started this journey for me. A true inspiration if you ask me! Because of her, and some other amazingly strong women, I’ll be running my first half marathon on Mothers Day! It’ll be especially fulfilling to cross that line since my health hasn’t been all that great. A true testament that you can do anything you set your mind to!

Have I mentioned how much I need a new scale? Tremendously. Uberly (Is that a word?). Utterly ridiculously. I’m batting my eyelashes. Can you see me? With cherries on top. Oh wait, we’re not supposed to be eating sundaes. Crap. ;-) ;-)

I found the sisterhood when my friend, Jess Boz told me about it. I love it here and love all the support and help I get.

  • Jeanne C.

I found the sisterhood through twitter! :)

I didn’t weigh-in. Oh, I weighed. Then I ducked my head in the sand and pretended I didn’t. Fell face first in a bucket of jelly beans, beat myself up over it and then dumped them all out of the car window as I was driving to work.
I am feeling such a sense of loss of control… like I don’t have enough time to do the things I want to do so I’m frozen into inaction. Not just fitness-wise but in all areas.
I’ll get my crap together soon but it’s really hard right now.

    • http://anotherstepandanother.blogspot.com/ FiddlersBride

I have been there many times myself. It SUCKS! There is no two ways about it! Keep hanging around here, make yourself read EVERY post from the ladies and guy behind the Sisterhood and I just know that you will start to feel stronger. You CAN do this! This site can be a very helpful tool. Even if you do nothing but read the posts. If there is anything I can do, I am happy to help as well — though often my own journey is one step forward, two steps back : )

  • http://misslofly.blogspot.com Misslofly

Today, I hit an EXCITING bench-mark in my weight loss journey!! 20LB DOWN!!! Yippee!!! That’s huge for me! So happy!!

I found the Sisterhood through good-old-fashioned searching. I had been looking high and low for some weight loss blogs, websites and challenges. Then I came across this darling site. It’s been fun and informative reading everything on this website!
Good luck to everyone who is hoping to win one of those scales! I’m hoping I win one too!
