Our Sisterhood is constantly changing and seeing new people, and sometimes it’s impossible to keep up, so I thought on this fine Friday, we would play a little game so that we can see all of the new faces. I’m also going to throw out a little challenge for all of you. Please play along, even if you’re a lurker. (and I know you’re out there!)

First, I want you to introduce yourself. Tell us where you blog, so we can go check out your site. Then, I want you to tell us your absolute favorite way to work out.

Now, I’m going to challenge each and every one of you to try ONE thing new this weekend. It can be a new healthy food or work out. Part of the problem when losing weight is boredom. We all get tired of the same old work out and the same old foods, so the only way to keep from getting bored is to find something new!

OK. Ready to play? I’ll start.

1. My name is April. I’ve been with the Sisterhood since January 2009 and have been a contributing writer since June 2009.

2. I LOVE CYCLING. Love, love, LOVE it. Sometimes I feel like I was born to be on a bike. It’s like magic to me.

3. I am going to try quinoa this weekend. It’s really good for you and I keep seeing it on The Biggest Loser, and so I am going to try it.

    OK, I’ll go next! My name is Bari and I’ve been hanging around the Sisterhood for about a year and a half, give or take. I blog at livelaughrunbreathe (dot) com. Come visit me!

    My favorite workout has become running. I also love a good spin class, but don’t get to them as often as I should.

    I’m not really trying something NEW new this weekend, but I’m trying a new running distance. If all goes as planned, I’ll be running 14 miles this afternoon/evening. This will be the farthest I have EVER run. Say a prayer for me (or 5 or 6) between 4 and 7 EST. M’kay? Thanks!

    My favorite workout is definitely kickboxing. I like to think I am one tough bad-ass momma. Or something like that.

    Hmmm… something new? You know what? This weekend, I will cut up veggies and cook chicken so that I have it ready for the following week and don’t get too busy and eat crap food! Brilliant!

    My name is Christy and I’m the other editor here at the Sisterhood! I’ve been here since day 1, which is 2.5 years! Wow, where does the time go?

    I love running so much. More than I probably should (don’t punch me, okay!). I also love a good, hard, sweaty bootcamp. Bootcamp today left my muscles trembling and I actually collapsed after doing so many lunges I couldn’t stand up anymore! OY!

    This weekend my husband won’t be home, so I’m flying solo with the kids. I’ve been dying to take them on an official hike before it gets too hot, so I think we might venture out to our local state park with our backpacks, snack and plenty of water!

    I LOVE to run. Which, for me is totally weird. I am training for my first EVER marathon in October and am already counting down the days. Oh, and sweating. Yes, I like to sweat. It’s gross. But it means that I have worked hard. ;)

    I am going to take a Zumba class this weekend. I have never done it and I would love to become an instructor at some point, so I am going to give it a try

I’ve participated in a lot of challenges with the Sisterhood but have taken a few off to get my head in the right place. I’m back again and can’t wait for the next challenge to start up.

    I love walking. I’ve tried to turn that love into running but I’m not quit there yet. I love being outside but that is kind of difficult when it is still snowing here regularly and we’ve only had 3 day’s about 55*.

    I plan on trying Jillian Michaels Shred It with weights. I bought it a few months ago on sale but I haven’t found the time to do it. I will make it happen this weekend.

    I’m learning to run, and I’m hoping it can be my few favorite thing. I’ve developed some tendonitis as a result, so I’ve been ordered to spend this weekend resting, which means I’ll have to try a new food this weekend and leave new exercise for next weekend! Actually, my real goal for this weekend (and hopefully long term) is to try and cook. I never cook for myself.     Something new to try: I’ve been TRYING to live by a “no sugar added” diet plan since the 18th and haven’t been very successful this week, so I’m going to “get back to it” this weekend. I also checked out a couple of low Glycemic Index books from the library. I’m going to start following this plan this weekend, too as much as possible since I’ve been told it will help me with my weight loss!

    Favorite workout right now is the step aerobics class I started taking. It’s fun and kicks my out of shape butt at the same time. :)

    I have been on the Sisterhood Playground mostly since last summer in the “Shrinkvivor Challenge days (Go Tribe Green!). My favorite workout is kickboxing. I also love those long walks.

    This weekend I am going to try a new recipe, from the WW site I have been meaning to try for a while, Power Sticks http://tinyurl.com/ko3vh6. The site says they make a great breakfast and you can make 3 batches at a time and put them in your freezer. Sounds like something easy to grab ‘n go on the run!

I have been loving the motivation and the accountability.     I really enjoy my Wii Fit workout and my aerobics DVD. But I am really glad that it is warming up and drying off so we can take walks again.

    I’ve never been a fitness fanactic, but I’ve usually done something (yoga, hiking, weights). I spent last year with a lower back injury that kept me inactive and really down. This is the year I change all of that (and finally lose that pesky 15lbs.). I’ve started the Couch to 5K program (4 weeks in) and I LOVE it.
    For my ‘something new’ challenge this weekend, I’ll do what I know I need to do… I’ll do my run outdoors rather than on my treadmill. I’ve been reluctant to try this because I don’t want my neighbors watching me huff and puff, but I need to get a feel for outdoor running if I’m going to be ready to run my first 5K in a couple of months.
