Yes, people. Hell hath frozen over, because I have tried Zumba.

I’m not a dancer.

I don’t like fitness classes.

I’m self conscious of making a complete fool of myself.

So, why don’t I just go ahead and try a dancing fitness class that asks you to do moves that make you feel you are making a complete fool of yourself??

Folks, that’s what being around friends will do to you.

As you saw in yesterday’s video, we’re all here at Fitbloggin this weekend, and today was Mega Workout Day. One of the classes on tap was Zumba. I had absolutely no intention of doing it, until Lisa someone whined suggested that it might be fun.

I figured, hell, I was already running the Fitbloggin 5k in a tutu because of Christie O., I might as well do Zumba, too, right?

I have to say, I had a blast.

Was I good at it? Hellz no. I think I managed to get about half of the moves in.

Did I get a good workout in? Yes. It was very up tempo and when I wasn’t completely lost, I was moving the whole time. When I was completely lost,  I was laughing so hard that I think I got the best core workout EVAH.

Will I every do it again? Honestly, probably not. It was fun to step outside of my comfort zone surrounded by people who love me and were able to laugh right along with me, but I definitely think it was a one time thing for me.

BUT. It was an amazing workout. I was sweating my arse off and I was actually sore at the end. My calves were burning because it felt like a lot of the class was spent up on my toes or balls of my feet. So, I might consider it in a DVD or “at home” setting, but I still don’t dig classes.

But still, how can you go wrong when you look this hot?
