Burst into Summer Check-In {august 17}

[ 12 ] 08/17/2011 |

We are nearing the end of our challenge, can you believe it? Pure craziness. Next thing you know, school will be starting. Wait… it is. Oh my.

I think you know the drill by now, so let’s cut to the chase. If you are a weigher, go step on that scale and see what you are down this week! Everyone needs to fill in the check-in form by 9 p.m. Central time. Weighing or not, go write about your week, come back and leave the link so we can all indulge.

MiniChallenge:

How did you do with the challenge last week? Did you try something new?

This week, I want you to practice your deep breathing. As corny as it may sound, when you wake up in the morning, take 10 deep breaths to start your day. Throughout your day, if you start feeling stressed and overwhelmed, repeat. I will admit, I have been doing this A LOT lately. Life has been crazy busy and ohmyheck I tend to get caught up in it and get so frustrated and make poor, quick decisions that I wouldn’t otherwise.

Announcement:

We’ve been working on something big!! Check back later today for all the exciting details! Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

Don’t forget, New Balance is sponsoring this challenge, and that means the team with the most % of weight lost will get a new pair of New Balance Bootcamp Training Shoes. How sweet is that? We are also giving away 5 pairs to random challengers! To be eligible to win, your team will need to check-in EACH WEEK BY 9 p.m. CENTRAL TIME. No exceptions.

    Well, I’m back to my lowest weight this challenge ~ the one I hit BEFORE all the family gatherings and holidays and whatnot!  My ultimate goal for this challenge is still attainable, but it will mean some serious determination!

    Up this week, but it was expected. I’m much stronger mentally and physically, and that is what this is all about so I’m okay with that. I need to get back to blogging so I can rant more!

    Been up and down and up and down and up and… you ever been in a place like that? It bites!

    BUT I did succeed on the mini challenge – have you ever heard of a donut peach? They’re shaped like donuts (but without a hole) and even taste a bit like one too. Super sweet! Saw them in a produce mkt and the owner let me try one.  Bought a bunch on the spot! Also, I tried an avocado squash for the first time. Who knew there was such a thing in the world? Shaped like an avocado but a bit lighter green and also kinda sweet. Delish! Hopefully these things will count for some good mojo?! : )
