Change Your Chicken With Subway (Review & Giveaway) | The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC

I try really hard not to pick up ‘fast food’ very often, but as a mom of two young children, I have to be honest…there are days when the only way we’re all getting fed is if I grab something quick.

Thankfully, for those days, I have Subway. Subway has been my go-to for fast, healthy meals since way before I had kids. But now, since I’m not just responsible for feeding myself, I’m extra thankful I can rely on Subway for healthy alternatives to greasy fast food.

My three year old? He calls Subway the ‘turkey sandwich diner’. I have no idea where he came up with the name, but it’s stuck and he will bypass any burger joint for a chance to sit in a booth at Subway with his turkey sandwich (what else?), apples and milk.

Proud mama here.

My favorite sandwich is a six inch roasted chicken breast on wheat, all the veggies except onion and jalapenos with honey mustard sauce. Every. Single. Time. So when Subway offered me a gift card to try out their newest chicken sandwich – the Oven Crisp Chicken – I was just a little excited.

Okay, a lot excited. A new take on chicken? Crispy? Bring it.

The Oven Crisp Chicken is part of Subway’s Fresh Fit Menu. Coming in at under 300 calories for a six inch sandwich, with less than 7 grams of fat, this new take on chicken is a fantastic alternative to any deep fried, fast food chicken sandwich.

In fact, I hesitate to compare the Oven Crisp Chicken to a fast food chicken sandwich…it’s just so much BETTER. No grease to be found, but a delightful crunch. Not to mention you get to customize your sandwich and load it up with fresh, delicious veggies. Yum.

Yep. I’m pretty darn excited about this sandwich.

And I’m even more excited that I get to give away a $25 Subway gift card to one of our lucky readers!
