Saturday Review: Harmony Valley Vegetarian Hamburger Mix (Giveaway!) | The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC

I eat a lot of chicken and turkey and some lean beef and pork but I’ve been looking for other sources of protein other than meat. Enter: the Harmony Valley Vegetarian Hamburger Mix.

It is a soy-based mix that looks and tastes just like hamburger meat after you cook it. It is an awesome, healthy alternative to meat.

Honestly, I was a little skeptical about trying it because I’m picky about my meatless burgers or soy products, but I LOVED this. We tried it in chili and my kids and my husband loved it too.

The crumbles come dry in a package. When you get it, you have to open it up, pour it in a bowl with water and let it hydrate for about 15 minutes. Then, you cook it like any other ground meat and it even looks like ground meat when it’s all hydrated in the bowl.

You can use it with the chili recipe that comes on the package, as taco meat, in your lasagna, anywhere you want or anywhere that would have ground meat! I’m serious, our chili was amazing and next I want to use it as taco meat. (There picture on the package is making me crave tacos!)

You can find this at a Whole Foods near you, near the rices and the couscous. Where the dry foods are.

I’m so glad I tried it. And now you can too! We’ve giving away some of the Harmony Valley Vegetarian Hamburger Mix for you to try!

All you have to do is leave a comment below.
