Couch-to-5K {Checking In, Week 4}

[ 7 ] 09/12/2011 |

Helllllloooooo there, couch-to-5k’ers! You didn’t think I forgot about you, did you? Never! Okay, well, maybe a little. But only because I have been totally busy finding the best deals ever on furniture, and then I got a little sidetrack and moved furniture and started a million projects on my main floor. PHEW. I’m tired.

So, how’s it going? Most of us just finished up our third week of training. Running for 90 seconds, walking for 90 seconds, then running for 3 minutes, walking for 3 minutes. I definitely felt like things were getting more difficult for me, but it wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle. No major injuries and I didn’t die, only I really almost did when I got stuck going uphill for all 3 minutes of running once. Oh my.

I set out on Day 1 of Week 4 yesterday and tackled those 5 minutes of running head-on. It was hard. Very hard. This is the point where I feel myself wanting to give up because it hurts and it’s not really fun anymore.

But I won’t.

One foot in front of the other.

We won’t give up, will we?

    Great job getting w4d1 out of the way.

    I’m a week behind (oops!) and failed at W3D1 today so that will require a redo.  I managed to do almost all of it but the last 3 minute run just was no happening.  Eh, it is what it is and tomorrow I will rock it.

    Please add my name to the list- I’ve been doing it since the beginning : ).

    And I’m doing W4D1 today- I’m pretty sure my pace might slow down, lol.

    Lissa you are doing awesome! I will not be continuing C25K :( I wanted to run this race so bad, but I can’t, especially since it would have been my 1st. I am going to have to walk it.  My hip can not take it. After every run, it takes me about 3 days to recover. The last run I did has my hip still sore. The feeling of wanting to run and can’t is just so….well I don’t even have a word to describe it. I am cheering all you guys on, kick ass ladies!
