Subway’s New Yogurt Parfait {Run The ‘Hood Sponsor} {giveaway}

[ 25 ] 09/01/2011 |

On our ‘out-to-eat’ nights, I give my kids the choice to pick we’re going, and 9 times out of 10 they choose SUBWAY! It makes me happy to know that my kids look at SUBWAY as a treat, as somewhere FUN to go out to dinner! What also makes me happy is SUBWAY is now offering a brand new Yogurt Parfait – made fresh everyday! I love yogurt, and my kids love yogurt, and now they have the option of getting a yogurt parfait instead of chips or apples with their sandwich. (SUBWAY doesn’t offer the yogurt parfait as a side option, we pay extra. Just so you know!) You know what the best thing is? It’s delicious and low-fat!

SUBWAY Yogurt Parfait

Two weeks ago, my kids and I headed to SUBWAY after soccer practice for dinner, and we tried out the Yogurt Parfaits. My kids gave it 4 thumbs up, and add in my two and that’s 6. (Gotta make a math lesson out of everything, right?)

I tell the same story during every “most embarrassing moment” conversation I have.  Tripping while crossing the stage at my high school graduation.  Apparently it traumatized me because it’s been 35 years and I still haven’t forgotten!!

Last week I wore a dress to work. A coworker was walking behind me when I walked past a fan. My dress flew up and all of a sudden I heard snickering. I turned around and my (kind of cute) coworker was trying not to openly laugh. I smirked and said, “Saw my butt, huh?” He just nodded. Unfortunately for me, I had done laundry the day before and was NOT wearing granny panties. I just had to choose this cute little lacy number instead.

I went to a local cafe (not Starbucks) and asked for grande Starbucks Frappuccino, was told they don’t have it. “Since when?” I replied.

The most embarassing moment was when my future husband introduced me to his parents and I forgot my soon-to-be mother-in-law name, oops.

my very recent embarassing moment was just last week when I was on my first cruise. It was formal night in the dining room and I had on a short dress and five inch heels on (I don’t usually wear heels) and wasn’t used to walking with them. I tripped over the cords at a photography station on the way in and needless to say I gave a few guests a brief little show. I was so embarassed I never looked up from my plate the entire evening.

Embarrassing moment, huh? Having your 72 year old dad WALK faster than you can RUN…now that’s embarrassing! Fortunately I can now walk faster than he can and I’m a tad bit faster running than he can walk (as long as it’s for a short distance!)

My most embarrassing moment was one time I was trying out a treadmill in Sears, when all of a sudden my foot slipped off and needless to say I pulled harder on the treadmill bars trying to regain my balance when the treadmill went up and I went flying. I was so embarrassed. My hubby still laughs about this and it happened about 10 yrs ago.

  • Too embarrassed lol

Oh so many moments!  Running into my 7th grade crush at Value Village school shopping….and my cart was fully loaded.  Yes, our next stop was Kmart!

My most embarrassing moment? Ever? Mmm.  I’m not sure what that would be.  The time I tripped while running down the sidewalk along a busy street?  Being out and having my stomach revolt, and stinking up the bathroom in a restaurant?  Realizing I started my period on a long run that ended me up at gymnastics where I sat down on the chair and left a red spot? I have so many!

My most embarrassing moment is probably the classic faux pas of running around with toilet paper that unknowingly got stuck and was hanging out :)  *Thanks* for the giveaway!

My most embarrassing moment was when my brother ran outside NAKED being chased by my father who was trying to give my brother a bath. I was in my front yard playing Barbies with my little girlfriends. HORRIBLE!!!! :-)

Most embarrassing momenet: While taking a break from running, I was in sports authority buying “The WAVE”.  I was in such a hurry, I tripped over a trampoline, flew up in the air, landed on my back, and my skirt flew up.  I lay there for a few minutes in shock, withe everyone starting at me in my undies.  I wasn’t hurt.  Just really embarrassed

Some years back I would often catch a ride home with my dad. I walked down to his workplace and then jumped into the pick up and would wait for him. He’d leave his passenger door unlocked so I could get in. One day I found the side door locked, so I went around and tried the driver’s door which was open, so I got in. I sat there a few minutes wondering how on earth my dad who was taller than me by about 9 inches could seat with the steering wheel so close to him….the dashboard was practically in my lap. It was sooo uncomfortable.   The cab was certainly messy today– gloves tossed carelessly, tools and junk all over,  grubby looking. A truck with a couple of his co -workers went by and the 2 guys looked at me oddly …… 5-10 minutes later they went by again. By that time, I am getting an uncomfortable feeling. This truck doesn’t even smell like my dad’s truck. All of a sudden I realize, EEK. I’m in  the wrong truck! Boy, did I feel like an fool. I jumped out quick! My dad got a laugh out of it though.

The most embarrassed I’ve probably ever been was when my husband and I were dating and I got sick to my stomach at his apartment and had to ask him to go get the plunger from his brother’s bathroom. Later I started throwing up. It was a very rough day!

Hmm… there was the time I was walking near the student union during graduate school and suddenly lost my balance and fell for seemingly no reason, but in a really hilarious way–I must have teetered right, left, right, left twenty times before finally falling on my behind!
