Let me start this post by saying I am happy that this isn’t next weeks True Confessions. I’m pretty sure I’ll have some not so good confessing then. I’ll try to be good over the holiday weekend, but there is just so much to get me into trouble. Enough about next week. Here is what happened this past week.
My first confession is that I had a couple awesome things happen this weekend. On Saturday, one of my very best friends daughter had her first baby. His name is Charlie and he is perfect. On Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting one of my favorite blog friends live and in person. We connected very early on when I started blogging three years ago. We met for brunch and three hours passed like three minutes. It was like spending time with an old friend and I will treasure that day forever.
I also confess that I love kettle bell workouts. I have been doing them for the last three weeks and they are wonderful. There is not a muscle in your body that you don’t use. The second day after the workout, you feel like you were hit by a truck, but it’s that good kind of hurt. The kind where you know you have done something really good for your body.
Everything wasn’t sunshine and roses this week though. 1. I finished the Shrinkvivor challenge without a bang. Once I hit Exile Island, I kind of fizzled out. I finished with a loss at least. 2. Water and I have forgotten that we know each other. 3. Since we did Run the Hood, I kind of forgot about walking too. I think I see a remedy for that coming though.
4. Mr. Bacardi and I have been a little too friendly lately.
