Shrink Yo’Self in 2012 {week 1}

Welcome to the first official Wednesday check-in of 2012! If you’ve been around the Sisterhood for awhile, you know what to do (and we adore you!). If you’re new (and we have SO many awesome new Sisters!) don’t worry, it painless!

So Sunday was our kick-off for the challenge, being that it was the 1st and all it just seemed appropriate. But now we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming of Wednesday check-ins. At the end of the challenge, we’ll announce our Top 10 Shrinkers! So exciting!!

The Assignment

On Sunday, Melissa gave you an assignment to get your goals for 2012 in order and to be prepared to share them with us today. So did you do it? Gosh I hope so ;) If you did, link up your post below and then go do some blog hopping and check out everyone else’s goals. It’s fun and it’s a great way to show some support to your fellow Sisters. The Fitness Challenge

Heather kicked off our Fitness Challenge on Monday. Did you get a chance to check it out yet? I am SO glad to know the difference between moderate and vigorous activity, because for so long I’ve been in the dark. Now that I know, I’m doing a much better job at getting some vigorous exercise in my plan.

Mark your calendar!

Monday nights at 8 p.m. Central we gather at the ‘hood and have Sister Chat about all things healthy (and not-so-healthy)! It’s totally fun and funny. I promise you won’t be sorry if you come, but you will be sorry if you miss it!

Every Tuesday, we have a Tworkout (Twitter + Workout = Tworkout) at 8 p.m. Central time. You won’t find a more fun workout anywhere, trust me! April is like a drill instructor, but she totally loves listening to all of us whine about how much we hate burpees and side planks. True story.

    Goooooood Morning Sistahs!   Chock full of water from yesterday and getting started on today’s quota. One full day of not sweet junk. I’m happy about that. It wasn’t easy. I think I need to grab some sugar free jello.

      2 days with little sugar for me! We can do it! No-sugar-added fudgsicles are my savior. Seriously. As are almonds, jalapeno-stuffed onions, and string cheese. :)

    I’m not sure I did this right. I forgot to include my blog url on the form above and I’m not sure this is where I’m supposed to put it if I didn’t. But…

    There it is. I’ve actually had some stomach issues so my weight loss, while great, reflects a lack of food. Maybe it will help me stay focused through the week to maintain the loss!

    ok I will get a blog post done in a while (gotta start school!) BUT….just had to shout out to y’all I lost 3.2 pounds SINCE SUNDAY!!! YES, it really does pay to eat what the dr tells you to, exercise 30 minutes and drink lots of water!!

    Good to be back here….it’s been a while as you will see from my blog post.

    Good luck to us all and I will be back here at least once a week to see how everyone is doing.  I didn’t lose anything since the first, but I am doing really well making the right choices food-wise.  Not so much in the exercise department since my arthritis has kicked in on my knee again….ouch.  But I did do more than my usual walking yesterday and today will be even more because I am hitting Costco today.  My knees and hips will not be happy at the end of that ‘first of the month’ shopping marathon, but my stats will be better next week!! 

    I don’t know if anyone has heard of Yonanas, but if you haven’t and you love ice cream you need to get one.  It magically transforms bananas and any other fruit into ice cream and if you are doing WW that is ZERO points – yummmmmmm!!  Check it out here:

    good morning, everyone!  i am down 1.5 from Sunday..! :)  i know it has to be from all the water i have been drinking in the past two days! lol  here is my updated blog post:  i haven’t figured out how to do the linky thingy  yet coz i am so computer illiterate(sp?), so i hope it is okay to just put it here each time… :)

    Happy to check in today w/ a 2lb loss! 

    My goals for myself are to drink 135 oz of water a day. I gave up diet coke when I first began WeightWatchers, but haven’t been very diligent in the last few weeks.  No more diet drinks for me.  Another goal for me is to walk 60 miles in the month of January and another 60 in February.  Actually I have a yearly goal to walk 700 miles.  Hope I can do it!

    You can tell I haven’t posted here for a while, I forgot to do it last night. Oh well at least I did it this morning.

    Starting the year off at the heaviest non-pregnant weight  I have ever been.
    I deserve  to be feel better. It begins now.

    No blog post this week, hopefully I can get to it next time! Glad to be back with the team!

    I’m a day late, I should have known better that check would be on Wednesdays as normal but this whole sign up on Sunday through me off :)

    I’m also a day late in posting, but at least I’m doing it…right? :) I have just under 10 pounds to work off to be back to pre-pregnancy weight. There’s no rush to get it off, but sooner would definitely be better than later!
