Good Tuesday morning everyone! If you’re new to these parts of the Internets, the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans is all about supporting your in all of your weight-loss and fitness endeavors! Really!

Today, I’m hear to do some tootin’ (I love to say that and totally laugh like a 12-year-old boy while I’m writing it)!

After a several-month-long hiatus from running, today I am starting the Couch to 5K program from scratch. For like the 587th time. Okay, not really that many times, but I’ve been around the block a time or two with C25K (shhhh, she’s easy ;).

I love to run. I’m one of those people who actually gets the running high and starts to feel in the zone around mile 8. Yeah. And lately I’ve been running zero miles. I can’t say exactly why, other than time constraints and life getting in the way. But I’ve finally come to the realization that my life is not complete without my feet pounding the pavement in that rhythmatic way while I lose myself to the music pumping through my headphones.

I need to run.

If you’re interested in running, we just kicked off a new Couch to 5K program on Saturday! We are training for our virtual 5K/10K – Run The ‘Hood that will be happening in the city where you are on May 28, 2012. You read that right, it’s happening right where you are. In your neighborhood, in your city, on your dirt road, along your favorite running trail, or on your treadmill. You run your race, in your place, at your pace. And you get a race shirt, swag bag, AND finishers medal.

Hold on now….I’m going to tell you exactly what you need to do to get registered! GO to our Race Central Page right now. You can get the skinny on the race and all the other running deets you’ll need to know. We also have a group set up on the ‘hood (our private community forum), and we’d love t have you join us there.

Oh, one more thing! We’re also giving away the Cadillac of sports bras from Moving Comfort. It’s guaranteed to keep your girls from knocking you out. Seriously. There’s science to back up that statement!

And now it’s your turn! Toot your horn. Tell us something good you’ve done this past week! We want to hear all about it!
