5:30 – Alarm goes off. Curse the fact that I broke the snooze button. On purpose. Get dressed and head downstairs.
5:35 – Grab phone, water, and a book and head downstairs to the basement.
5:37 – Catch up with Words with Friends.
5:45 – Start treadmill. Walk for 1 mile while reading, checking e-mails, Twitter and Facebook.
6:05 – 6:15 – Get off treadmill. Refresh Words with Friends. Again. Again. Again. Play solitaire instead.
6:15 – Do 15-20 minutes of strength training. Cuss. A lot.
6:40 – Refresh words with Friends. Again. Again. Again. Check Pinterest instead.
7:00 – Say a little prayer as the kids’ alarms go off
7:02 – 8:30 – Eat, yell, bribe, cajole, clear dishwasher, threaten, load dishwasher, refresh Words with Friends, brush daughter’s hair, reheat coffee, breathe deeply, refresh Words with Friends, put clothes in washer.
8:30 – Walk kids to school. Discuss importance of not procrastinating and getting necessary things done first then play later.
8:50 – Get home from walking kids to school. Refresh Words with Friends.
9:00 – (On a good day) Run, bike, or leave for gym to swim.
9:00 – (On most days) Get on the computer. Read blogs, constantly refresh Twitter and Facebook, check Words with Friends, avoid doing cardio.
9:30 – 3:15 – This part of my day is such a blur, I really have no idea what happens. There’s volunteering, and errands, and laundry, and lunch gets thrown in there somewhere. Every 2nd or 3rd week there may even be some cleaning thrown in. Check Words with Friends, Twitter, and Facebook.
3:15 – Leave to pick kids up from school. Wonder when I’ll get my cardio in since I “ran out of time” during the day. Check Words with Friends on the way to school.
3:40 – Get home from school
3:41 – 5:30 - Eat, yell, bribe, cajole, load dishwasher, threaten, help with homework, refresh Words with Friends, fold laundry, consider another cup of coffee, breathe deeply, refresh Words with Friends, regret not working out.
5:30 – 7:00 – Cook dinner, eat dinner, clean up dinner, considering hitting the treadmill to get something in.
7:00 – 8:00 – Sit on couch with my laptop and do “important stuff” that I would not be able to describe because really I’m just mindlessly clicking websites. Check Words with Friends.
8:00 – 8:30 – Clean up kitchen, load dishwasher, wipe down kitchen counters, supervise packing of lunches.
8:30 – Collapse on couch, realizing I never did get that cardio in.
8:30 – 10:00 Watch TV, read, check Words with Friends. Again. Again. Again.
10:00 – Turn off TV and head to bed.
10:05 – Start dishwasher. Check Words with Friends. Vow to get cardio in tomorrow…
