Here at the Sisterhood, we’re always looking for ways to encourage you to get up and get moving! Last week, Kelly of Joggermom, contacted us about her Virtual Joggermom Marathon, and we thought we’d share the details with all of you!

Please join us for our 2nd annual Virtual Joggermom Marathon. Have you always wanted to run a marathon but knew you did not have the time to train? Well, now you can. The Joggermom Marathon is a race that takes place over the month of May. You have 31 days to run 26.2 miles. That is a little less than 1 mile a day.
Our race was originally set up for women only. This year we opened it up to spouses and or children. This way it can become a family event. Isn’t this why we exercise anyway to show our kids it is good to stay fit and healthy?
Prizes….This year we are giving away almost $3,000 in prizes. Our prizes range from a BOB stroller (1 of 5 we are giving away) to Run Like a Mother running books to a $100 gift card to Toys R Us for the kids. It will be hard not to win something this year. Need a little motivation before the race even starts? We are giving away a $50 Amazon Gift Card to the person with the most referrals! Registration closes on April 30th.
What we supply you with….Even if our event is virtual you can still have fun and stay connected. We will have race bibs, weekly newsletters that include a new playlist each week, Facebook support from other parents, tips on running and fitness in general lots of support to help you achieve your month long goal. Many of our runners last year went on to run their first 5k’s or half marathons while others dropped a pant size. All of it is very motivating. All finishers will receive a virtual Joggermom Marathon medal to pin proudly on your Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter Pages.
