I was all excited when I first read that I had this post a couple of weeks ago. I had been going great guns with my walking. I was using the Charity Miles app and felt like my walking was not just benefitting me, but also Autism Speaks. I was feeling good and walking farther than I had before.
And then my stepdad came home from the nursing home. Don’t get me wrong, this is a fantastic thing, but it requires all of our help. I have a lot less time for extra things. I haven’t walked since Thursday night and I really miss it. I was walking with a good friend. I miss her too. She was like my therapy. We could talk about anything. I need to figure out how I can fit it all in a day. I really hope I can do this. It may mean that I have to walk by myself early in the morning. It might mean I can walk with my friend if she doesn’t mind walking in the dark later at night. As a last resort, I can walk on the treadmill, but then I can’t use the Charity Miles app. The app runs by GPS.
I’m tooting my horn that I walked three days last week since the last Toot Your Horn Tuesday and I am getting a lot of upper body work while at mom’s. I’m looking at the glass as half full. There is always something to be happy about.
How about you? Anything you’d like to brag about? Feel free to leave your brags in the comments or the link to your blog post there too.
Hope you all have a great week and find lots to toot your horns about next week.
