Toot Your Horn Tuesday {September 18}

Good morning, friends! How are you?

I.am.tired. TIRED! Life has been just a little crazy this past month. It’s taken a whole new level of patience and adjustment to get used to our hectic schedule -hectic schedule AND A BABY. There is school, and homework, football, choir, dance, volleyball, not to mention all the appointments for our little foster girl. It is HARD when my husband is at work {he’s gone for 2 weeks at a time!}, some days there just isn’t enough of me to have every kid where they need to go. And babies? They don’t really listen or care when you tell them, “Just a minute!” If they are hungry, they are hungry NOW.

I have a few options.

  • I could get rid of a few kids.
  • I could not let them do any extracurricular activities.
  • I could hire a personal assistant.
  • I could drink a LOT of coffee.
  • I could just DEAL.

While I would loooooove to have a personal assistant, I don’t think it would fly with the hubs. So, I am choosing to drink coffee and deal with it. I take lots of deep breaths and try to take each day one step at a time. I can do this. I AM doing this. I may not be the best Mom or the most productive, but I am doing the best I can. That’s all that matters.

    I am down 22 pounds. I am currently weighing in at 148 pounds. I was stuck at 155 forever and then hanging at 151, but I did it! I have been setting 5 pound goals to stay motivated, and when the scale does not budge; I remind myself that muscle weighs more than fat and move on. This summer was the first in a long time that I wore a two piece suit to the pool. My next goal is 145. I am over halfway to my ending, maintaining weight of 135. (+;

    I am down 5lbs since last monday, I am working my way up in dumbell weights, and I am finding new ways to stay under my calorie goals for each day. Feels great!

    Here’s my toot….my hubby broke his foot 2 weeks ago today and I haven’t killed him yet:) I’ve also been homeschooling, running all errands, working on costumes for the play that my 8 year old is in (and attending every practice)and training for the Komen 3 Day that is just 6 weeks away!! I haven’t completely lost my mind yet either!! -:)
