Let’s start with it’s week two of the new challenge and so far, I have stayed under my starting weight! I have tried to keep my eating in check and exercising most days. It seems to be working.
How about—–I just registered to walk the Indianapolis Mini Marathon in May!!! I must be crazy, but I did it. I am really excited about this. I have walked it twice before. The last time being in 2005. That was seven years ago. I’m a bit older now. I have already downloaded Hal Higdon’s half marathon walkers training program. I won’t officially start that till the middle of February though. In the meantime, I’ll keep up my usual walking and exercising.
I have two friends that are going to walk it with me. I am excited. We are going to have fun. It’s a good goal to start the new year with. I can do this. I may be turning 58 next week, but I ain’t down yet!
