Dear Me Letter – the Link Up Edition

Letter to Myself

Wow, I don’t know about the rest of you shrinkers, but this week has FLOWN by for me.  I can’t believe it’s already Friday, but I’m glad it is!  Bring on the weekend! LOL

If you were paying attention earlier this week, Christy (one of our awesome editors) gave us all some homework.  The task was to write a Dear Me letter to our current self from our future self.  We were supposed to mentally jump ahead one year to January 2014 and visualize all the things we accomplished during 2013.  Then, that 2014 self who visualized all of those awesome accomplishments was supposed to write a letter to our hear and now self recapping all we accomplished and pretty much telling us how awesome we are.  You DO know you’re awesome, right?  Because you are!

Since it’s Friday, that means it’s now time for everyone to link up with your blog posts about your letter from the 2014 you.  If you haven’t blogged about it yet, go do it so you can link up with us here!  Once you have your post ready, just leave us a comment below with the link to your letter.  Just to kick things off, here’s mine over on my personal blog:

Dear Me – A Letter to Myself

If you don’t have a blog, you can still play along!  Just write the letter from your future self in your favorite document or word processing application so you can hang on it for next year.  Once you have it saved, just copy and paste your letter below in a comment.

So, that’s it.  Write up and link up!  I can’t wait to stop by some of your blogs and read about all the awesome things your 2014 self told you that you accomplished this year!  I just know 2013 is gonna be awesome for all of us!

I don’t see the link up piece, so here’s my blog post:

Suz – we had issues with the Linky Tools last week, so we opted to just go for people leaving their links in the comments instead this time. :)

Love your letter, Suz, my FitBy50 sister! LOL I love the challenge of expanding what you’re doing at the gym rather than just always sticking with the “trusty treadmill.” I really need to branch out, too! I tend to always do either the treadmill, elliptical, or spin bike.

I just started following your posts after reading Mel’s post about this homework assignment and thought it would be fun. My letter link is posted above

Welcome aboard, Paula! We love new Sisters, so I’m really glad you found your way here from my blog. :) I loved your letter, too! As much as I love reading about other people who are still on their weight loss journey like myself, I really love reading blogs of people who have lost the weight are maintaining it. You guys are such an inspiration. I’ll definitely keep checking in on your blog, so you’ll have at least one reader. ;)

Awesome letter to yourself, Christine! I have no doubt you’ll rock that half marathon in May. :)

Great letter, Margo! Wow, WTG on undertaking THREE half marathons this summer!!

      • Margo

Oh my goodness, my 2014 self did not proof read before posting, or the subconscious is more ambition than I, the plan is to run ONE of these three, May is the goal (and the others are my backup if the plans for the first don’t come together). Lol three in one summer that would be an undertaking :) Thanks Melissa!
