Final Check-In for Couch to 5K

Here we are- done with our the first Virtual Couch to 5K at The Sisterhood. I cannot believe how fast the time flew by. I have to ask- how many of you made to the end? Stand up loud and proud, wave your arms in the air and let me give you a huge high-five. It is difficult to stick with anything for five weeks, let alone something as physical as running.
For my own nosey purposes, could those of you who completed C25K (or are in the midst of completing it), answer a few questions for me….pretty please? This is the first time we have ever done something like this and I want some input from all of you.
Here goes!
Name
Location
Age
What week did you just complete of C25K?
What surprised you about these nine weeks?
What held you back?
Did you like having these check-ins?
What would you have us do differently if we were to do a virtual program again?
What kind of posts would you like to see more of?
Are you going to keep running?!!!!!
You know, after my first 5k, which just so happened to be a virtual 5K here at Shrinking Jeans (the first one we ever did), I crazily committed to running my first half marathon. C-R-A-Z-Y. But here we are, three years and 5 half marathons later, and I am still running. The support here is invaluable.
As I was running 9 miles this morning- yes, NINE MILES (I’m training for ANOTHER half marathon on March 23), all I could think about is how proud of you guys, and all new runners. Let’s face it- running is hard and not everyone has the discipline nor the commitment nor the will-poer nor the desire to see it through. Or maybe they just don’t like it. Whatever the reason, runners are a special group that you now belong to.
YOU ARE A RUNNER. It doesn’t matter the pace, it doesn’t matter if you take walk breaks, it doesn’t matter if you feel awkward when you run, it doesn’t matter it you feel like you are gasping for air with every step you take- YOU ARE A RUNNER.
Turn around so that I can pat you on the back, then turn back around so that I can high five you and say loud and proud- CONGRATULATIONS!
