Welcome to a brand new weight loss challenge from the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans! If you’re new around here, welcome! We host these challenges regularly, and I think it’s safe to say that although losing weight is hard, we have fun losing it together. There’s lots of support, camaraderie, and kicks in the ass when you fall off the wagon!

This is our first time to team up with DietBet for a weight loss challenge, and as you can see, we’ve already had a great response from so many people. Our game already has more than 160 players with a pot over $4,000!! Weight Loss Challenge {Spring Clean You!}

So here we are….Spring is upon us, and I don’t know about you, but I’m itching to ditch the clutter. And I’m not just talking about the pile of magazines on my kitchen counter and the dust bunnies running around under my furniture. I’m talking about the clutter around my waist, on my ass, and holding on for dear life to my thighs. My *ahem* winter coat, for lack of a better phrase. This challenge is aimed at helping Spring Clean You. From the inside out. Body, mind, and soul. And we don’t mean with some crazy lemonade drinking, cabbage soup eating, 3 day on again diet. There is no magic pill, and while you might lose a chunk of change on the scale quick with those methods, you’ll be miserable and gain it all back. Totally a waste of time. Trust us. We’ve been there a time or two. We’re all about doing it right here at the Sisterhood which means: eat less food and make sure it’s real, move your body more, get plenty of sleep, and drink your water. You’re body cleanses itself, yo.

Spring Clean You {Weekly Challenge}

Each week, we’ll have a little extra challenge for you! Nothing crazy, but definitely something that will help Spring Clean YOU! This week our challenge is:

Bottoms up! Drink water now. Lots of it. Like 1/2 of your body weight in ounces. Yeah, you might wear a hole in the carpet down the hallway to the bathroom, but think of all the extra steps you’ll be getting! We’re serious, it’s the best thing you can do for your body, and a great way to kick start weight loss.

If you’re already sippin’ to the max, here’s some extra credit: drink only water and cut out all carbonated beverages and alcohol. BAM!

Tommy’s Team – Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago

As hosts of a DietBet Game, we earn a small commission for each person who plays, and we’ve decided that we want a portion to benefit a charity. When I received an email from Erin last week about her son Tommy’s Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago 5K, I knew we had our charity. Erin has been around for awhile, and although her skinny ass never really needed to lose weight, I think our peer pressure may have turned her into a bad mother runner, and now she’s one of our Couch-to-5K mentors. Basically we triple puffy heart Erin, and we admire her for her strength as she advocated for her sweet baby as they navigated the scary waters of seizures and an epilepsy diagnosis. So yeah, we’re kicking some money her way to help her team out, and we encourage you to do the same.
