Spring Clean You Weight Loss Challenge with Shrinking Jeans and DietBet

Yesterday was the official end of our Spring Clean You weight loss challenge, but since our customary check-in day is Wednesday, we want you to check in now! How did you do over the last 4 weeks. Did you meet your goals? Exceed them? Come up just a tad short? However you did, you should be proud because you stuck with it for a whole month, and that is awesome.

Never fear if you still have some weight to lose, because we’re at it again! That’s right no break between the challenges because breaks are for sissies! Let’s just keep the momentum going because have you looked at a calendar lately?? HELLO! Summer is just around the bend. I’m actually going on a cruise ONE MONTH from today, so I have some serious nothing-but-bathing-suits-for-8-days motivation! WOOT.

If you’re new around here, we host weight loss challenges and we check in each Wednesday. Weigh in and share, or don’t. It’s up to you. If you blog, share your link with us so we can come and give you some support on your own turf. If you don’t blog, just leave a comment!

We are also kicking off a shiny new DietBet game today. The ante is $30 and in 28 days if you lose 4% of your body weight, YOU WIN and split the pot with the other winners!


This week’s mini challenge is to walk at least a mile everyday. That’s in addition to your regular workouts, so don’t think you’re getting off easy! Walk a mile and enjoy the sunshine and Spring weather.


This time around we are supporting an amazing charity through a fantastic young man, who happens to be the son of our editor, Melissa. Ashton is giving up his 10th birthday to build a well in Rwanda through charity: water. We will donate a portion of the affiliate fee we earn from hosting our DietBet to Ashton’s charity: water campaign. Please donate to Ashton’s charity: water campaign if you feel so inclined! It’s a great cause and he’s an awesome little boy!

    I stayed the same this week which is ok with me. I’m antsy for another challenge here, though. I don’t have money to spend on doing diet bet and the motivation isn’t the same to just check in on Weds.

    It was a great month for me! Heck it’s been a great year!! I am now at my lowest weight in 10 years! With my clothes on I was 1/2 pound shy of my 4% but I’m not discouraged! Signing up again!

    Unfortunately I didn’t make the 4% however I am certainly down inches and feeling more comfortable in my clothes. I am down overall this year and have been in maintenance mode for the last little while. Going to focus on switching up the menu plans to see if this will help with the last few pounds to get rid of. http://finallygoingtodothis.wordpress.com/

    I made the 4% with over a pound to spare. That’s a little over 10 pounds in a month (25 total since January). I still have a lot to go so I am so excited to start another challenge. My puppy should keep me motivated to walk that extra mile everyday. Our normal route around the neighborhood is a little over a mile. Hopefully the weather holds so that we can get out every day.

    I came up .3lbs short and I will not be participating in the next one. but I’ll be keeping weekly tabs with you guys!
