I love going to classes for exercise. I love the motivation I get from the other people in the class. I enjoy the fun we have together as we grunt and pant our way through a class. But, sometimes I just can’t get out to a class and I have to workout at home. Luckily, I have a couple workout videos that I really love. The funny thing is that they are all Jillian Michaels. I guess I love me some Jillian. It’s all Jillian, all the time when it comes to my “My Top 3 Workout Video Choices”.
1. Jillian Michaels – 30 Day Shred
This workout is an oldie, but a goodie. We have done this one together a couple times. The 30 Day Shred features three 20-minute workouts, each one featuring short bursts of strength, cardio, and abs, and a cool-down in rapid succession. Call me a wimp, but I have yet to make it all the way through Level 3.
2. Jillian Michaels – Shred It with Weights
Using a kettlebell or a single hand weight, Shred-It With Weights leads you through two 30-minute boot camp workouts. Begin with Level 1 and progress to Level 2. This is an awesome workout.
3. Jillian Michaels – Yoga Meltdown
This is not your traditional yoga workout. At least not the kind of yoga that I am used to, but I do like it. Jillian incorporates her own style of teaching to the yoga poses for a sweat drenched workout. YOGA MELTDOWN includes two complete 30-minute workouts that include a warm-up and cooldown. Start with Level 1 and progress to Level 2.
So, there you have it. These are my “go to” workouts when I am left to work out at home. If you are looking for a good workout, I highly recommend Jillian. She’ll kick your butt!!
